This cake is gonna make Big mom forget everything that"s happened and pardon the SH's
If that will happen any respects I have for her will be gone
Genuinely hope its poisonus. Like she just od's on posion.

Judging from that little map I thought the plan was going to be to give her the cake on the ocean, Probably so that they can coup de burst out of there.
Or kick her in the ocean.

That's never even once suggested. The cake will stop her food frenzy because at this rate she is unstoppable and besides the lives of the SH's also innocent lives will be lost.

The cake will stop the rage and create a window to escape,

The SH's wrecked her island, ruined the wedding, beat some of the family, trespassed onto her territory, freed a prisoner, ruined a business deal, and destroyed her beloved treasure.

There is NO way they will be pardoned EVER. You're just throwing oil on a fire that isn't there.

Big Mom will be saved for a greater arc.

Why is that ? he is under the impression Big Mom has dealt with the SH's after seeing the lightning strike last chapter and there is no way Brook and Chopper can beat both him and Perospero. Besides it's been a minute at most that they've spend on the ship seeing they were still in the sub last chapter. Now the foot soldiers are gone he will step in.
these are all stupid reasons to not stop brook and chopper. And stopping brook and chopper isnt the bad part its the fact that BMP pirates like smoothie are made to look like noobs in this arc for the sake of plot is annoying and adding to that by making ppl like perspero and katakuri not go for the kill makes it seem only worse. There are too many plot convenient moments in this arc and fans are correctly pointing them out.

I LOVED this chapter, are you kidding me ?

So funny that the only woman in the entire series to be affected by Sanji's charms is someone who part-time wants to kill him and loves him the other half of the time. He played the actress.

Big Mom unaffected by Nami's yonkou attack and walking through the earth. Beast strength,

Brook is fighting with his soul out, He doesn't have to leave his body anymore.

The memory fruit showed some diversity.

Weird that Pound didn't make an appearance in the forest with his daughter flying over and Big Mom being there.

Sanji is a total cake boss. A cake that will beat a yonkou !
I don't think that Nami's attack was a yonko level attack. Didn't Enel have an attack even more powerful than Nami's?

Considering that top tier fights like Akainu vs Aokiji can last for 10 days, it makes sense that one Yonko level attack wouldn't cause damage. It'd take several strong attacks in a serious fashion to start causing injury.
For all we know, Akainu and Aokiji neutralized or evaded the vast majority of each other's attacks. Besides, we've already seen attacks from top tiers that clearly aren't top tier level attacks. For example, Aokiji's Ice Pheasant and Ice Partisan clearly aren't top tier level attacks, and Big Mom's Heavenly Fire attack clearly wasn't a top tier level attack.

Akainu vs Whitebeard showed that even between top tiers there can be attacks that present some serious threat early in a fight. I wouldn't say it was a Yonko level attack if it didn't even scratch her. But it could just be that big mom is known for defense rather than offense.

not at all.

From Katakuri's perspective. What are Brook and Chopper going to do now ? Beat them and sail away ?

All your arguments are based on the fact that Luffy is coming and you know that they're the main characters and you know they will get away.

So it's unfair to hold that against any villain ever because they can't do anything to them. So there always is plot armor if you like it or not. How else should Oda portray them when they're so massively superior to them ?

It's like *****ing about the Bond villain when he has James Bond trapped in the torture chair and decides to elaborately kill the spy but in the meanwhile is outsmarted by the main character. Happens every movie.

The point is that Oda can't have these groups fight like any other arc because if they would fight there are 2 outcomes. 1) Strawhats would win, that doesn't make any sense against a yonkou crew. 2) Strawhats die, story ends.

So Oda has to stall and escape and that is happening right now. And if you look into it closer you would see that he even dropped little hints to Katakuri to explain his actions. By showing him one of Big Mom's attacks (created by Nami) he thinks everything is being dealt with. So as long as he, Perospero and an army of foot soldiers are on the ship Brook and Chopper are no threat. And besides killing there is also such a thing as capture. Because they also know not the entire crew is on WCI and they can use them as trading chips.

You're just not reading into the story, and conveniently making up arguments from your own perspective and not from the standpoint from the character whose actions you're criticizing.

Pretty much. Especially the part about "what are Brook and Chopper actually gonna do?" They're exhausted dealing with some foot soldiers, and Brulee and Daifuku are in the mirror world with thousands of other soldiers ready to pop out. Katakuri is focused on taking out Luffy, and Brook and Chopper are currently sufficiently occupied. He doesn't really have a reason to be motivated to go kill them.

I see a whole lot of excuses, yes there is plot armor but the degree to which oda takes it is important. There are 3 ppl who can kill luffy who is the strongest on the other side and they repeatedly get foiled in stupid ways. Oda could have handled the situation differently by bringing on someone like neko or anyone else to make the odds a bit better. but instead we get nonstop plot armor which gets annoying. It is the culmination of all this that makes it annoying as a reader, other arcs have been executed in a much better manner.

There is a difference between an excuse and arguments. And what I don't see is anything that counters what I've said.

So you can play your plot armor spiel again, but you're only repeating what you said the first time.

If you're complaining about the Strawhats' luck what manga have you been reading the past 875 chapters.

The whole point was to infiltrate and escape, by bringing someone strong you're already setting up for a battle from the start. And that is why Oda is a superior author and your cliche fanatic storylines will never make it into One Piece.

Yea those are excuses masquerading as weak arguments. Its the level of luck/plot armor that is important. OP is highly regarded compared to some of its peers because the asspulls in the series are much less compared to that of bleach and naruto.

Just because i repeat something doesn't make it any less true. So what kind of a nonsense argument is that.

Yes the infiltration failed and i didnt say neko was necessary but they could have escaped with the whole plan they had and after the bomb went off, then oda just dragged it along because sanji has to make a cake. Its the addition of more bs story points that makes this arc worse compared to other arcs.

What i've said and what you don't seem to understand is that you as reader have the luxury of an overview of what is happening all across the multiple battlefields.

Dogtooth doesn't have that luxury and therefore his actions all make perfect sense.

Not an excuse, but a fact.
