Is it an asspull? How? That bit seemed to make sense to me.

OT: The arc is dragging, but this chapter was okay. BM remained unaffected by the lightning, as she should, and delivered another cool attack. Though my gripes are, why is Katakuri just standing around? We've seen that out of all the children, he's the most hands on, and just wouldn't sit around while Chopper and Brook are taking out his subordinates.

I LOVED this chapter, are you kidding me ?

So funny that the only woman in the entire series to be affected by Sanji's charms is someone who part-time wants to kill him and loves him the other half of the time. He played the actress.

Big Mom unaffected by Nami's yonkou attack and walking through the earth. Beast strength,

Brook is fighting with his soul out, He doesn't have to leave his body anymore.

The memory fruit showed some diversity.

Weird that Pound didn't make an appearance in the forest with his daughter flying over and Big Mom being there.

Sanji is a total cake boss. A cake that will beat a yonkou !

That's never even once suggested. The cake will stop her food frenzy because at this rate she is unstoppable and besides the lives of the SH's also innocent lives will be lost.

The cake will stop the rage and create a window to escape,

The SH's wrecked her island, ruined the wedding, beat some of the family, trespassed onto her territory, freed a prisoner, ruined a business deal, and destroyed her beloved treasure.

There is NO way they will be pardoned EVER. You're just throwing oil on a fire that isn't there.

Big Mom will be saved for a greater arc.

katakuri is made to look like a fool just sitting there. The plot for this arc feels so forced.

Why is that ? he is under the impression Big Mom has dealt with the SH's after seeing the lightning strike last chapter and there is no way Brook and Chopper can beat both him and Perospero. Besides it's been a minute at most that they've spend on the ship seeing they were still in the sub last chapter. Now the foot soldiers are gone he will step in.

No it isn't. She has a DF that allows her to mess around with people's memories and these trees are alive because BM stuck soul fragments into them that originate from other people. So that Pudding can temporarily make those original memories resurface can easily be accepted as part of her DF. In particular because something similar happened on Thriller Bark with Moria's shadow powers. Even though he controls the shadows he has severed from their original owners, some of them still had lingering attachments.

I don't think they're going to wait and sit around till BM has finished her meal. The point of this all is to distract her long enough so that they can escape.

WorldofFingo's not far off, and she could come back as an ally against Kaido or the SH's will help settle things between her and the giants. Plus they don't need to be there for her to forgive them, after she's done eating she may like it so much she decides she likes them for their abilities and bold decisions.

Brook and Chopper are fighting Homies, evident by Katakuri's statement that Brook is effective against the soldiers. They're just Homies, not actual people that Katakuri needs to care about, and both Chopper and Brook are exhausting themselves, and there are literally THOUSANDS of them coming out of the mirror to continue fighting a duo that is getting more and more exhausted. Why does Katakuri have to do anything but wait for the main threats to arrive?

I'm pretty sure Sanji is THE best cook in OP world he's just never really had a moment to showcase that skill to get the title from OP characters. About Pudding she didn't change any memories without contact, she brought up memories of the soul's owners that were inhibited in the Homies. She allowed the homies to experience all the memories of the souls inside them.

Fair point it did seem a bit like the boats were meeting up between the islands, I just chalked that up to panel size and BM behind the boat I just assumed they were still on WCI but you could be right. It'd be kind of neat to see Pound leave with Chiffon and see his grandkid though so I'd hope they go back to WCI.

IIRC, Katakuri was only after Luffy and said that "he would be a real threat to mama in the future" if he is left alive, so it kinda makes sense why Katakuri isn't bothered to deal with Brook or Chopper, especially when he has endless soldiers to deal with them.

Hm... I guess with Sanji keeping Big Mom at bay, I dunno... Perhaps an interesting battle might happen between Luffy and Katakuri since Katakuri pointed all his interest on getting Luffy's head before Luffy escapes. Perhaps Luffy will do some damage on Katakuri as a mark on Charlotte Family that Luffy will be back for Big Mom. Something that will make Linlin to be convinced that she picked a fight with a future enemy who will grow stronger and as a threat to her.
