Hey, I got a question. Was there ever enough backstory as to why the Hyuuga needed a divide between the Main and Branch Houses? The cursed seal existed even before Hinata's abduction. There must be an incident before that that prompted the Hyuuga to protect the Byakugan more. I want to know what incident started it all and how it impacted the hierarchy of the Hyuuga. It could have been a compelling plotline...

No, there's no explanation as to why the divided into main and side, but given the Ootsutsuki also have main and side branches, it might just be tradition. We might get an explanation, but I wouldn't count on it.

Probably not being able to deactivate it. I posted a few days ago about how I read a fan-fiction where Neji activates his byakugan for the first time and gets extreme headache and isn't able to deactivate it. And it takes a while for him to control it properly. Like activate and deactivate on will.

It probably means she has great power but can´t control it like how Naruto couldn´t control Kurama power properly. Himawari maybe didn´t want to deliver attack that powerful.
