He didn't trust anything to Indra. If I have a child and he comes out with my dark brown eyes, I didn't trust him with my eyes. If my other son comes out with my broad shoulders, I didn't trust him with them. If I give my son the family fortune, then that would be entrusting. They don't need bijuu because their power comes directly from the JuubiJin and Kaguya. Ashura's RSM comes from Juubi chakra and Indra's Sharingan power comes from Kaguya.

You are focusing on the law version of the definition but bequeath can also can mean pass on, and I can pass on my genes to my son.
Your interpretation creates contradictions, as Hago said that Ashura awakened his powers.That's why you are wrong.

No, you cannot bequeath your traits to your son. He inherits them on his own. Bequeathing something is giving someone something by your own will.
Hagoromo in that manga scan is talking about the power he gave to Naruto and Sasuke and compares it to the power he gave Asura. And we both know that he didn't give Naruto and Sasuke Ninshuu.

I didn't deny that Asura awakened his own powers, but Hagoromo himself claims that he gave Asura his power before his fight with Indra.
One word can be used in different circumstances and have different meanings, and bequeath also means pass on.
A little vocabulary lesson for you:
To bequeath:
1 (law) leave (property) to a person or other beneficiary by a will.
2 to hand down; pass on, as to following generations.

You cannot bequeath the genes, to bequeath something you have to do it of your own will. A child can inherit any trait from anyone, even their great-grand parents. That person may have passed down the gene but they didn't purposefully give that child the trait. The child could inherit anything from either side of it's parentage. It's not bequeathing on the part of the parents, but inheritance on the part of the child.

Indra was said to have the Sage's eye power, he doesn't have a Rinnegan so the author could've meant his dojutsu gave him Sage tier feats, VoTE 2 Sasuke displayed what those feats could've been. Hint : Indra's arrow
