Yes, it is likely like how Rennigan loses Sharingan powers (Nagato) but Mangekyo Sharingan doesn't.

Tenseigan loses Byakugan powers, but Byakugan lvl 2 doesn't. Though that may not even be the case, since it was never confirmed whether Tenseigan has Byakugan's powers or not.

Toneri didn´t have experience with Tenseigan let alone Byakugan so everything is possible. But it would be retarded to lose all Byakugan abilities completely.

I would not mind if you simply have to switch back to Byakugan.

This is the most likely possibility. It is the Ms version of the Byakugan. But with Toneri's presence, I just cant help but to associate it with the Tenseigan,

I have some fealing we will not see Hinata fighting anymore.

I don't have my hopes up tbh.

Honestly I don't think we will ever see Hinata fight unless the Anime is going to make major changes in the Movie timeline where she is going to be seen fighting Momoshiki instead of making it off screen. I mean this is SP we are talking about; they are fan of Hinata so who knows. Kishimoto even had alot of stuff scrapped out in Boruto Movie because of the time limit and he initially wanted to include the 3rd Ootsutski villain that we've seen in Kaguya fillers and have Momoshiki/Kinishiki flashback.

for all we know this Boruto the movie arc could be the diverging point of the Anime from the manga

while the manga included some tidbits of teasing Boruto's genetic lineage and eyes via Momo they didn't go all out

SP if they get the green light from Kishi might just re-work the whole entire thing completely

The Movie arc will be a huge remake especially after knowing the interview of SP/Kishi plan for the anime. DBS with resuurection of Frieza arc is the prime example of this.

Since the time to make the Boruto movie is short, plus the movie length is limited to 90 minutes. Kishimoto's interestingly written script with many details is cut. The one that gave the most impression is Chouchou and Inojin's lines. This will be more fleshed out in the Boruto anime.

SP greatest reputation is fillers so I am not surprised, and as long as they make huge expansion and changes to greater extent unlike the manga then hopefully it will interesting. And I especially want to see how Hinata is going to interact with Momo especially when Momoshiki is residing with her son.
