[Discussion] Do you ever think oda

Since seeing the drawing another member posted of Sabo saving ace, do you ever think oda wishes he had done something like that. We needed a big death or something of the sort then but whitebeard was right there and it kinda overshadowed aces as a whole. Of course we follow Luffy so we experienced aces death.

How do you think the story would have progressed if he had lived? Would his fate be the same cause of blackbeard in the Revenge war? Or?

No since not just the manga but Akainu as a villain and as an admiral needed that.....as a villain since he just killed one of the most popular character so that got a lot of people hating on him also cemented his place as one of the final big bad but also as an admiral since he needed something to put his name out there for the fleet admiral position since Akoiji already had Sengoku behind him so this put his name on the board

Also no to me WB's death didn't overshadow Ace's death.....

It is cool as it is now. Ace death made me cry and was epic. I dont regret it.

I'm fine with how the story is now..

But I'm not gonna lie..... it would've been really cool if Ace was able to live long enough to see Luffy become Pirate King.
