Kage summit was a reflection of Sasuke's weakness

Raikage was too afraid to face him 1v1 but instead of taking advantage of the situation Sasuke became arrogant and assumed he could just hack and slash his way to the boss like a noob playing Dark Souls.


Picture it this way, you can have the power to neg a bijuu, you can solo an army of fodder, but trying to pass through a small building filled with Kages and high tier jonin that have intel on you is plain suicidal, especially when you have no back-up plan.


Arrogance is the difference between losing a fight and winning, and out of all the weakness a shinobi can have it's what Indra incarnates (and Uchiha in general) are most prone to.

Despite Jiraiya's overconfidence in his abilities, he never went that far like those fan translations made it out to be.

Raikage's intro was perfect. He became one of my favs just for this fight! If Sasuke was some random minor character he would have died.

Hell, even Mei was spanking for a bit. This was one of my favorite moments in shippuden, esp when obito comes in and declares war. I only with Tsunade was there, but then again Danzo had to be there because he is who Sasuke has beef with.

Arrogance is just confidence. Had he fought the raikage one on one the fight would've gone diff. Fighting all of what eventully became kage class ninja, I think Sasuke proved his strength. Didn't he proceed to solo danzo too? Only Kage that he couldn't beat was Ohnoki, obviously. other than that, fair game all around. He penetrated that ultimate lightining armour too

haha true but at the same time I disagree. There's a clear difference between children who are blinded by the emotional momentum to keep them going until they physically can't anymore like hinata and sasuke.

In jiraiya's case, he's suppose to be the great sannin man, overwatching the 4th hokage's son and the kyuubi within the boy and yet here he is overwanking his abilties to think he can beat infamous itachi and kisame when even a angry nut like Raikage knew damn well to boost his speed up to max at just the sight of MS because of it's reference of itachi. meanwhile jiraiya is like "hurr durr what are these uhh black flames" <--- lol the sannins are arguably the only consistently made characters who overstep their capabilities especially anything related to fighting an uchiha let alone against itachi whose already kage lvl even w/o mangekyou.

Despite Jiraiya's overconfidence in his abilities, he never went that far like those fan translations made it out to be.

over confident is not really the right term to be used here, maybe for that jiraiya panel above but not here. sasuke already had the power within him to stomp these kages, it was simply he was too impatience to mature it plus the fact that obito being the ******* that he is pretty much made sure he went toe to toe with the kages instead of konoha.
