The Nin Trading Cards is the only good Ikemoto addition.

Way to take advantage of your leads being kids, this concept is cute as hell. Having characters acknowledge characters we know and only know the stories and power of their superiors through a TCG is realistic and not really been done before.

Think Obito and Madara even have one? Kabuto? And which uneducated tool let Shino be a low-tier common rarity?

Anyone else got good memories of the TCG? And who do you think is the most obscure ninja to have their own card?

The funny thing is the card game actually exists (or rather, it existed since it was ended in 2013). I never played it though. Here's a card example:

It's one of those card games that is needlessly complicated and involves more counting than gameplay, but the cards are gorgeous.

I could only pick them up during trips to America. I also procured a Goku Naruto somewhere.

Aren't all TCGs needlessly complicated? lol

And this actually reminds me of my own Naruto card game I made as a kid. (I'd cut a standard A4 printer paper into pieces and draw card artworks on them lol):

Never throw them out, that's adorable. I did something similar in 2013, was part of an actual turn-based game...bit like Fire Emblem if I remember? I even added some as a little throwback in the years after.

Proof that in any other art style, an adult with Sasuke's hairstyle looks ridiculous.

Nah there's emo people that "pull it off". I always thought ikemotos art was trying to make the manga look more realistic, especially the hair. It just doesn't fit, nardo's hair isn't great either but it's so short you don't notice too much, konohamarus is a good example compared to his kishi version

Naruto products like this is the reason I love the side characters so much. Makes everybody look badass and worthy of more exploration.

Don't worry, I won't. Idk how my card game worked though, all I remember is each player had 3 character cards that were placed on the field at the beginning of the game and there were various jutsu cards for each character as well as chakra cards used for those jutsus.

Making games is fun.

Mine was too dependant on maths, needed calculators which killed the gameplay pacing. Probably would be better as a video game but I just liked making the assets haha

Speaking of strategy video games, what inspired my card game was in part a browser game called Naruto Arena. Are you familiar with it? Me an my crew used to play it a lot back in the day but it's dead now. (You can still play though, it's just that noone cares anymore.)

And actually, making a virtual card game is easier than you may think.

I think it's been spiritually replaced by this new phone app game. Blazing looks decent, just need the phone space.

On the other subject, I have zero intuition with computers beyond BBCode and Itunes. I can't even suss VPNs :') But if licensing weren't an issue i'd make and sell that in a heartbeat.

On the other subject, it'd be tough. It had a tile-based War battlefield board and everything. I have zero intuition with computers beyond BBCode and Itunes. I can't even suss VPNs :') But if licensing weren't an issue i'd commission that and make that in a heartbeat.

I remember when Naruto trading cards were popular. :lol
They're actually going to make some boruto cards, ive seen some previews of em'.
Jealous, because there's a Zero percent chance of that making it out of Japan. But yeah, that's a great idea- hell imagine if Kishimoto had established them back in part 1 as a way of doing some cute n easy world-building.
