Poor giants, for being touted as a great and strong race in OP they haven't got the best of showings, except Oars' race but even both of them were beat. We saw 6 giants get beaten pre skip. For a race that's still getting talk as the strongest, that's not a great showing. The best explanation I can think is losing Dorry and Broggy hurt them mentally and based on what that one old guy said it seems as though most had stopped fighting like they did in the past.So Dorry and the other giants were the captains of the legendary Giant warrior pirates
And Luffy (albeit wounded) made short work of them pré timeskip.

Yeah I agree man..I honestly don't care about having a flashback but seeing the different warriors of Elbaf designs, especially the really old dudes was amazing! They looked soo beasttt! I wonder if they have died or not, would be cool seeing the elbaf warriors participate in the final battle
