Sasuke really did Konoha a favor by killing Danzo.

Danzo was responsible in Kabuto and Nagato turning evil and getting Kabuto mother killed. Danzo refused to help the village when Nagato was destroying the village and attacking the people there.

So yes Danzo is evil.

Lets not forget that Danzo had test to kill their allies and if no one dies then they both get killed.

Danzo officially is evil since he kills even his allies. It is funny Orochimaru gets labeled as evil, but Danzo doesn't get considered evil. Orochimaru experiment could lead to Ninjas getting stronger by having KKG which they shouldn't have, while Danzo kill for the heck of it.

Is he a true embodiment? He is a good embodiment of a caricatural, corrupt dictator given that he was hunkered down in a safe space, whilst Tsunade and civillian and his comrades died out in the streets. He admitted that he wanted Konoha's reign. Or the fact that he funded Orochimaru got the leader killed. I am not sure where people get this 'true Shinobi' thing from for Danzo.

But our idea about what ninja/shinobi where/are is not like the shinobi's we see in this series.. Danzo is shinobi when it comes to realm that life.. As is Hiruzen because at these tables of council there is always one1 who takes the high an one who takes the low.. It's what kept the shinobi rwa the way they were..

Danzo's hated because he is shinobi.. Kishi was trying to show us the culture in small ways with out given away to much of the shinobi/ninja world..
Japan is secretive when it comes to ninja/shinobi for the simple fact that those teaching are forbidden.. It's why all the struggles of the characters in the series are all the same, just different era's..

Actually, he doesn't fit the military notions of Japanese culture at all. He would be beyond loathsome there as well, as their Shinto philosophy encompassed working for the family, leader and people. He did none of those things.
