Sasuke doesn't deserve to be called a genius

Realistically speaking, most people called a genius in this show don't display any feats of intelligence, just talent. Orochimaru as far as I've seen is far more intelligent and intellectual than Itachi, Sasuke, and Minato. I don't know why genius is used as an adjective concerning certain characters who aren't genius but just showcase good analytical abilities.

A genius is ninja that excels in his generation. There has been a lot of genius ninjas. But Itachi and Minato are the only prodigies.

And yes, Sasuke had it. When he already knew katon and raiton as genin. He had jonnin attacks as gennin. He was very good at taijutsu even fighting Orochimaru in the chunnin exams or defeating those chunnins with chains in his first official mission.

Or getting Lee speed in one month or less making Lee look stupid with all his training.

So yes he is a genius in ninja arts. But of course. Not on Minato or Itachi level. Those are prodigies. Since them no one been close to their talent.

that's what I've been saying, the author made a clear distinction between being a genius and being a prodigy. Naruto and Sasuke were both prodigies but Itachi and Neji are what you would call geniuses. Sasuke was a genius to some extent, but his feats came from his talent more so than his ability to reason.

However Sasuke is a smart MF...he reversed COAT...something only the sage was capable of.. not Naruto, Madara, etc. Sasuke and the Sage. The fact that he isn't specialize in charka control like that is big too.

Sasuke is considered to be a genius in his occupation, and that's what is...period. Someone doesn't have to know the first thing about politics to be considered a genius film director, a genius painter, or a genius architect.
