I think him being able to physically see it means that he wasn't effected. He probably just stood there, Sasuke even said it himself, I believe.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking. He's probably the third Otsutsuki Kishimoto wanted to incorporate but forgot.

I get the feeling that Momo, Kinshiki, and who-ever gave Kawaki his seal, are 'brothers'
