The seal that appeared after boruto summoned that creature, it had kinda like an eye in the center of the seal, so there is a possibility, or it has a connection with mitsuki or it's just like you said a random power up..

The seal is related to the dark chakra that follows him. I guess Mitsuki has something to with it because in the preview for the next episode Boruto's eye reacts to Mitsuki's appearance.

But the summon in undoubtedly a free powerup, it came with help of the chakra, even Konohamaru noticed there was something wrong about it.

Shin Clones having MS means nothing when they're fodder anyways. A tool is as good as it's user, and those kids showed no talent with the MS they had. Not to mention Salad didn't even hurt any of them. More like mildly annoyed them before Naruto forced them into submission.

Mitsuki standing on the edge just watching it all does not make the argument any easier. However, OP has to be retarded to call this a power up it's not even a power. It was the monster itself.

But I really don't expect anything less TBH

OP is just upset that Salad is going to be a Sakura clone w/Sharingan while Bolt is getting all the cool Ootsutsuki-related dojutsu and seals.

Well the two power ups he doesn't realise he even have them so he can't put them to good use yet

Idk about that. Maybe it's a combo of Hamura and Hagoromo's chakra manifesting itself. Who knows? Maybe Bolt has a connection to Kaguya's realms and the creatures that live inside of it. Yes, that might sound absurd, but it's a slight possibility.

I guess we won't know until we get more info on Bolt's power.

If it was inside of him, I don't think it would need to be summoned to get out. It probably lives in another dimension, which is why it's trying to break free.

It's not really that impressive yet:

It's all a misconception that will probably get cleared up when the monster finally gets shown.
