I believe in God because there is a force behind the universe that created this whole thing. I don't think anything just came from nothing, which then begs the question, did God come from nothing? The Bible says he's eternal, that he's always been around, however I believe that when I die, I'll have my questions answered. There are a lot of things in the Bible that boggle my mind.

I can't definitively say that I know something for a fact, that evolutionists or people who believe in the big-bang are wrong, but I just have faith. I can't prove anything but you're welcome to follow my beliefs if you want. Religion has always been an important part of humanity. Some humans need the threat of an eternal God to stop them from doing terrible things. Not all of us are intellectuals who think about every little move we make.

We live in the Matrix. We all are just a simulation created by some fat guy in his mother's basement running on autopilot. Someday the cpu will crash and that will be the end of us, but that will be a long time from now.

Why on auto-pilot? If he controlled a world as complex as this, don't you think he'd be on this thing 24/7?

It's more of a school project if anything else. He finally moved out from the basement and went out and do better things in life.

Quite an intense project he got. Odd that he never comes around to check on the basically sentient beings in his world.

Whether or not there is a higher being of any kind is still up for debate, but whether or not there is a Christian God specifically, it's practically a certainty that bible is a work of fiction as there is very little historical and archaeological evidence that supports it.

If the Bible is truly the literal word of God, then that would mean that everything in the bible would have to be absolute, including the world being only 6000 years old; but as we know, that is factually incorrect.

The Bible is also based very heavily on astrotheology.
