Imagine if Orochimaru was a complete physco like the Joker. Do you think he would be more of a threat? Do you think his character would be better if all of his actions were brutal, intense, and always come with a twist?

Oro is malicious and it is because he is discreet that he could become such a threat with the knowledge he gained experimenting.
