As a villain, why not? I mean, I get that some people dislike villains, but I personally don't treat fictional characters like I do real people.

To be honest I did like Itachi as a character. He was a lot more humbling and realistic as a character. He planned things through to save the shinobi world. However his radical fans seem to be the complete opposite of him.

Itachi whilst not my kind of character is actually very humble and even funny upon rereading the War arc, it's like his rabid fanbase don't even understand or care about the character.

Good to know I wasn't the only one. For me, Susanoo stopped being cool after Sasuke showed some use with it and his blaze release. For me that was as cool as it gets before becoming too redundant. All Madara use was Susanoo and it got annoying after a while.

Same can be said about Tobi/Obito's kamui thing but he showed amazing use of his katon, mokuton, black chakra weapons, gedo powers/curse seal chains, and uchiha flame formation. I thought people would see that as being cool but apparently not.

Madara being shallow but cool is all this series needed, pseudo-philosophical baggage was never welome. The nonsense complaining that wasted 40+ chapters with Naruto and Obito yelling at each other only for this 30+ evil plan to end up culminating in the nonsense that was Naruto admiring him was absolutely comedic. Obito is a trash villain, and Naruto is a bigger trash main character.

Kishi writing that down is a about as relevant as him saying Neji is a genius, SasuNaru are best pals, or that Sakura surpassed Tsunade. In other words, the guy knows he failed to convince the readers of what he wants to convey, so he just shoves it down our throats. Its always like that with him always saying, never showing.

Not really a response to mellanoma i know he has some vendetta against the character for some strange reason. It was more to the responses that were in his thread. I know people like to put troll-like responses and what not but a lot of them out there were genuine so I'm a bit baffled on how his skill set really did suck as a shinobi? He has the best moves in the series followed by sasuke, kakashi, and pain in my honest opinion.

I really liked Masked Man/"Madara" as a villain. However, once he got unmasked, he became a bit too nihilistic for my tastes. I guess I prefer more ruthless villains over sympathetic ones.

I would've prefered Obito over Madara as the Final Villain since he was the one who we had been seeing all this time. All Madara did was come along and take all the credit.

Regardless, I would've prefered for Kishi to have handled him differently once unmasked. I know the actual reason he started all that wasn't because if Rin but her death was what led to a warped mentality. He did that to get rid of the current world responsible for all that misery. Madara helped him see that and Obito helped Nagato see that.

Here's the thing though. Kishi overdid it with the Rin thing. Sure he made sure to let us know that Rin wasn't the sole reason but in the end, he overdid it regardless and it gave that impression.

That's my take on his character. If giving credit where it's due is what you're refering to, i'll refer to the first paragraph. I do give him credit which is why I'd prefer him over Madara. Since Obito was the one doing all this.

Keep in mind that Madara isn't just some powerhungry typical villain. In his eyes, just like Obito, he thought he was the one doing the right thing.
