Episode was great.

Aside from all the interesting things, what surprised me the most was how great of a friend Boruto was to Denki. He covered for him and took that suspension like a real bro. I had a friend like that too.

Really liked it but where is it based on? I mean there is no manga with such plot we have only seen that Kawaki vs Boruto scene on manga :p

Did you all notice that Boruto has sasuke capes, sword, and his headband in the intro? does that mean sasuke got killed by this kawaki kid?

Why tf people think Boruto have a Tenseigan? That look nothing like a Tenseigan. Boruto don't even have the chakra for Tenseigan.

The intro was very cool. I'm glad I finally got to hear Kawaki's voice. The intro was quite the eye-candy I must say. Overall the animation in this episode was great; a lot better than Naruto Shippuden's at least.

Something about Shikadai (is that his name?) is off putting. Maybe it's because of how soft spoken he is? Personally I find him to be too wise for his years. That little stunt he pulled by jumping on the telephone pole was sweet.

...

Cant start an anime without involving someone getting bullied and rescued right? Well that's what happens with Boruto's soon to be friend (forgot his name). Anyways they become friends quickly and Boruto tells him to stand up to his father. Something tells me that Boruto is a very bad influence but whatever.

I have a couple questions about this episode. First of all, how did the kid in blue get not one, but two trains moving? This kid must be some genius to do that. In the real world there is no way a kid would be able to plot something that elaborate in less than a day and successfully pull it off. Anyways, I wish Boruto and him would've fought, that would be cool.

Finally, the train crashes into the Hokage Monument with Boruto and his friend inside. I find this to be very unrealistic, but who cares.

Apparently Naruto doesn't beat his sons ass after that stunt he pulled and Boruto gets away a small punishment. First world problems eh?

Anyways I'm very excited for this series. The dialogue, animation, current plot, and OST are all good so far.

To be very honest, I don't know how can this compete with some of this season anime series.

So, there were tons of things that I didn't like about this episode. I mean, this episode didn't feel like a start of a new anime, it more felt like a Naruto filler or a Naruto OVA. Just because Boruto screams (like a lot of times before: you know, in manga) "this is my story, and not my dad's!", that doesn't mean that I will see it like that. But again, I do understand that target audience for this are more or less children, right?
Still, tho... While I was watching this I didn't care about new generation children (Boruto and co); I enjoyed way more to see Naruto, Konohamaru, I mean, basically characters from Naruto. New characters that were first introduced in this episode seemed like they were created for that episode only and it felt like we won't see them again. I didn't even remember they names, their character design, anyting...
The entire plot for this episode was very cliché and the opening part where we could see Boruto in future felt really forced to me. I mean, good anime series that have this cliché storyboard push the presentation of characters.

The only things that I liked were some details like the animation of Konohamaru handling Boruto (very smooth animation), Shimkaru's son stepping out of train; Artwork is really nicely colorful, I enjoyed in some of the views from the railway.

I REALLY hope Naruto dies in this series. I can't stand him.

well he's not always in the village so? he's probably kicking some a$$ in the other dimension.

He can sense naruto's chakra though, so why not just teleport to where ever naruto was at and help him or stop the village from have being destroyed. If we go by manga he can tell when naruto in trouble or as y'all say dead so I believe no matter what he was doing at the time he would of still can back to protect the village like he said
