Boruto awakening a Sharingan?

nah is just lucky guess but as direct desendent of byakugan he logically will form one even he could have the possibility to awake sharingan due to his hamura and hagoromo linage. But damn he IS Hinata son which make him somehow main byakugan successor.

Due to his body capability and sasuke subordinate it make sense if sasuke want him to have his rinnegan? probably?

Kishimoto said in a data-book that if a child from an Uchiha/Hyuuga had a child, the offspring would have 1 Sharingan and 1 Byakugan eye.

In this case, Boruto (being the offspring of an Uzumaki (Senju < Ashura < Hagoromo line & Hyuuga (Hamura < Otsutsuki line) probably resulted in the creation of a this one-eyed dojutsu which may or may not be the Byakugan or some kind of variant.

That's my guess.

I agree. Everyone is pinned against him because they think he was doing it on purpose, but **** it. He took the blame for Denki, that gives him bonus points in my book.

I think is part of what momoshiki saw in boruto. Its obivous he is currently far from controlling it, as it's shown activating irregularly. Maybe momoshikis chakra was to further enhance/manifest/control this new dojutsu and its resulting abilities.

This is before he became a Genin, so that can't be it.

I don't think they are going to follow the 1rst ten chapters since that was basically the Boruto Movie. To animate it AGAIN after illustrating it for the manga would be a huge mistake so the anime is bypassing the "handed" powerup for an "awakening" instead.

It's clearly just a huge retcon meant to both please Hinata fans by making her relevant to Bort with him having a nonsensical kind of byakugan eye years before the movie plus it makes him look like an even more special snowflake than he was before to justify just how special of a main character that he truly is.
