I think Boruto will get a fresh perspective compared to Naruto, he has room for development and could end up becoming more relatable or something. There's things Boruto could face that Naruto didn't, but Naruto's journey is nothing to simply forget anyways, its good to see him come this far after everything. In the future it seems like Boruto has gone through some rough stuff, as he seems clearly focused, and determined. But then again he'll probably just get shit on.

Essentially how I see Boruto. Spoiled kid that has everything you can dream of... Loving family, prestige, money, respect, yet throws a tantrum simply because one thing is slightly off (granted Naruto being too busy to see his own kids is stupid).

To the topic at hand, I'd take Naruto's personality over Boruto's THUS FAR, but Boruto is just beginning so I'm sure my view of him will shift.
