Hard to say. Right now? I think it's fair to say that Naruto's personality is more open, outgoing, and friendly. Boruto is kind of in-between I guess.

He's not really your standard main character, hero, hard core trainer type. But I think he'll offer a more realistic touch that Naruto wasn't allowed to have in the Manga because he took a comical, 'messiah' style.

I have to see where exactly they are going in terms of his path because the story just started for the next generation. But I don't think they could ever royally **** Boruto up since he most likely won't be chasing a guy, won't have to deal with solving peace (isn't Hokage), and thankfully Kishimoto isn't writing his lines (coolest guy for instance).

No, Naruto was an underdog who had to work hard to get where he is and he learned a whole lot from that while Boruto is a spoiled brat who was given everything and still *****es about things. The only growth he had was through seeing Naruto's life when they were making the Father-Son Rasengan. Hopefully, Naruto's life lessons stick to him.
