I think those interactions count more than what SasuSaku ever had. I mean most of their interactions involve them trying to kill each other, or Sasuke ignoring her feelings blatantly. They only ever interacted as team mates, but in terms of romance, it was completely abysmal.

You can call NaruHina forced or what-ever, but it's definitely not the most forced. Not by far.

Yea but Sauce was like that with every female. Anybody really, he was slicing and dicin anybody a that particular part of the series. He ignored her for most of Part one but he/they did have some moments.

Out of all the pairings, NH is by far the most developed and realistic. SS, SI, ST, CK, and KT can't even hold a candle to it in comparison.

As I mentioned in a reply earlier, that was purely due to bad writing. A few very simple, easy fixes throughout the series in regards to how Naruto handled things would have made that transition a lot more natural. As it stands—it was awkwardly rushed at the very end, but was by no means forced.



I'm certainly not going to go through the effort of checking through the entire manga to see if you're telling the truth or not—though I'd like to point out there are only 700 chapters not 710 —but if you did in fact spend a ridiculous amount of time checking that, then I have another task for you: Of those 38 interactions, how many involved Hinata's feelings toward Naruto and was there a steady progression in Hinata's character in regards to how she acted on those feelings? Now by comparison—do the same research for the interactions between Naruto and Sakura ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I didn't mean it was forced, I kinda hoped it'd work out that way, I'm just saying when thought about in the same respect that people put SasuSaku in, a fanatic could make the argument.

No they are much much better. First they are two side characters so they are going to appear less plus they both have a lot in common personality wise unlike Naruhina. They are an organic pairing we see develop on screen as opposed to accepting the girl already likes the guy from the beggining and everything is based off of that. Pairings that involve one side crushed with minimal interactions that only happen at the end so the one obsessed side can be happy is not my cup of tea. It is implied that Shikamaru and Temari spent a lot of time together and helped the partnership with their villages as well as the chuunin exams which is more than Naruto and Hinata are implied to have got.

Sort of like most Naruhina related scenes. You would actually be surprised how few Naruhina scenes there actually are in the manga. There literally probably are almost just as many Shikatema scenes just from part 1.

What does being side characters have to do with them not developing properly? Shikamaru is more of an MC than Sakura is anyways. And Hinata is a minor too.

Yeah I don't feel like responding but a lot of your Naruhina moments can either be condensed into one moment or ignored entirely plus several more Shikatema moments can be added.

Oh yeah for sure it was terribly written/handled. The entire War Arc onwards was terribly written/handled—but I still wouldn't say it was forced. Hinata's character was perfect for what she was; a shy, socially awkward girl who loved someone very much the opposite of her. I will agree Naruto's side of the relationship was abysmally handled. The way he was written made him either oblivious to those emotions, made it so he knew of them/her but didn't know how to handle it so he ignored them, or was just flat out an ass. Considering Naruto has always written to be a fool, I'm assuming the intention was for Naruto to be oblivious to deeper emotions but it was very much poorly handled so that by the time he had matured and acknowledged Hinata the entire thing felt awkwardly rushed. Again though, I wouldn't call that a forced pairing.

Now Sakura and Sasuke on the other hand...

It's not forced- it's more like Agnes to David Copperfield. It came out more awkward in some ways because the writer and his editors and the animators everyone tried to make turn it into more idealistic fantasy for the teenage audience- the first love and love at first sight crap, which it wasn't. Not on Naruto's part.
