Which scene was more forced Sakura punching Kaguya or Boruto killing Momoshiti? Obviously neither character should have been able to land the attack but Kishi forced it for plot reasons. For Sakura it was for a team 7 moment and for Boruto it was because he was the main character of the movie. I must say though that what Sakura did was only the third most forced scene of the final battle after ghost dual sharingan Kakashi as well as tired Obito and Kakashi being able to move a long distance very fast in gravity dimension when Naruto, Kakashi, and Kaguya could barely even stand up. Then again both Naruto, Sasuke, and the other 4 Kages were also massively nerfed against Momoshiti.

Hmm considering Naruto/Sasuke were doing most of the work, I'll go with Orochimaru being able to replicate Sage Mode for free.

Or when Naruto/Sasuke were getting heavily nerfed in the Naruto Gaiden by those Shin fodders, yet at the end Naruto stopped them all by making Kurama scare them.

Let's talk about this for-real. How many times have Naruto/Sasuke been nerfed since Chapter 699 ended?

Sakura somehow being able to react & intercept kaguya's speed is worse. The four kage were nerfed?!? That's new.

Both were forced equally.

Well Bort somehow was able to hit Momoshiti with a giant slow moving rasengan. Momoshiti is fast enough to react to Sasuke using teleportation but can't react to slow ass Bort. LOL.

I don't understand how you missed this...

Momoshiki did react, but he thought he could overpower the Father/Son Rasengan with his own Rasengan. But he failed miserably.

Yes because Bort that had never even handled anything other than a small rasengan before over powering him with that giant rasengan was not forced at all or anything. Also that scene was different in the movie.

Easily Boruto's moment.

Sakura didn't outmaneuver, outclass, or outwit Kaguya, she just jumped where Kaguya was floating. Kaguya hadn't moved since their assault started, so it's not like Sakura needed speed or precognition to keep track of her, and Kaguya moved right into Sakura's path while distracted by Naruto and Sasuke.

Sakura's moment was totally valid in my eyes. Boruto's was plot at its finest.

The real question is how many times since start of shippudden ?

Who really cares? It was Naruto's power; Boruto being able to hold it probably attributes to his talent. It wasn't anything fancy tho.

And no, the scene was literally the same in the Movie.

If I had to pick one, I would argue for Sakura's punch being forced. But to be honest, I don't really consider either being forced.

As you mentioned, Sakura's punch was more for the Team 7 dynamic, which I can accept.

For Boruto however, the reasoning is much more solid. This is clearly something that was lost on a lot of people (not you/this thread specifically, but I've noticed this lack of understanding every since the movie came out), but the entire message of the Boruto movie was not to take any shortcuts if you wish to succeed. However instead of slapping this message across everyone's faces every chance the movie could, the movie decided to use a little thing called symbolism.

The whole set up of the film was Boruto using a device to cheat instead of training. The main villains were intentionally designed to use similar techniques of absorbing external power and giving themselves buffs as a result. Naruto and Sasuke wombo combo the f*ck out of the villain = years of training>power buffs. Boruto gives the finishing blow with the Rasengan he trained for, rather than an artificial technique and he grows as a character.

It may appear forced on the surface of the circumstances, but thematically it's brilliant.

Yeah it was forced and I hardly recall that rasengan being Bort's power. If we were being consistent Momoshiti would have just instantly annihilated the clone and then sent the real Bort back to kingdom come with Bort being turned to dust and then Naruto and Sasuke would be all like maybe it was not a good idea to send a 12 year old in a fight a godly alien. Also why don't we talk about the disappearing rasengan that Boruto does not even know how it works that Momoshiti somehow could not see with his byakugan and rinnegan. Bort is not strong enough to beat Shikadai without cheating but can beat Momoshiti. Yeah right.

Bolt...he's a fking kid dude Momo was a god...idc if it was Naruto's chakra

All bs clone from a fodder son could distract you? Trash bs

He shouldn't even be able to hold all that chakra...chakra is heavy bruh.

Easily bolt...kaguya couldn't react and isn't smart so her focusing on not getting sealed and being paranoid played a part.

Look how long she was trapped I mean I'd be scared too all it take is two touches and boom.

The thing I don't understand is, Kaguya had the Byakugan activated while this was going on yet she never noticed Sakura or Kakashi helping her, at all.

In the same sentence (from looking at one of the comments above), Momoshiki didn't even have his Byakugan activated when Boruto hit him with the Rasengan.

I don't really see how anyone doesn't see the former as forced because 'reasons'

Sakura didn't out maneuver kaguya nor bypassed her (Kaguya's speed) or anything related, her role was a supportive one. She was just in the right place, at the right time while wielding a deadly punch that aided sasuke/Naruto's attempt to seal kaguya. It's sort of like how minato/Lee used FTG to get Gai's attacks past Madara's defense.......

She kind of did. Kaguya didn't even see Sakura coming. The biggest difference between what you used in your example, is that Madara doesn't have 360 vision.

Even if we were to use the logic that Sakura was coming at her blind-spot, which we know for Neji was a small point in his backside. She definitely would of saw Kakashi's Susano'o sneaking up behind her, or the platform itself.

I don't get why Sakura fan's are saying this is totally logical. Kaguya only being able to tell that Sakura was there when she said something is totall 'illogical'. The entire fight was illogical though.

From the start of Kakashi using Susano'o.

It would appear that we've found one of those people I mentioned that the themes and symbolism were lost on xD

Jokes aside, to address your comments—

Yeah it was forced and I hardly recall that rasengan being Bort's power.
I would absolutely call the Rasengan Boruto's power. He trained for it, what's the issue?

If we were being consistent Momoshiti would have just instantly annihilated the clone and then sent the real Bort back to kingdom come with Bort being turned to dust and then Naruto and Sasuke would be all like maybe it was not a good idea to send a 12 year old in a fight a godly alien.
Had the fight been a legit fight with no substance or meaning (as most people had been conditioned to from the war arc) then yes, Boruto would have gotten rekt so hard that he would have been running back home to mommy. However if that was also the case, then as you mentioned Naruto and Sasuke would have never let Boruto fight at all they would have just rekt Momoshiki themselves. The reason why they (well, Sasuke) let Boruto step in at all was again, for that thematic symbolism.

Also why don't we talk about the disappearing rasengan that Boruto does not even know how it works that Momoshiti somehow could not see with his byakugan and rinnegan.
I'll give you the point about Momoshiki not being able to see the invisible Rasengan; the only argument I can make for that is it had the element of surprise, or in other words, it's hard to be on guard/lookout for something you don't expect. But regardless, you made a fair point and it was likely a written nerf to allow Boruto to land the hit.

Bort is not strong enough to beat Shikadai without cheating but can beat Momoshiti. Yeah right.
Again, that was kind of the whole point.

Sakura punch was forced. Kakashi, Sasuke and Naruto power ups were forced. Boruto's rasengan was forced.

That Kishi has been losing his touch in power scales.

:lmao: Gotta love how both Momshiki and Kaguya get caught by surprise from behind even with Byakugan. Why is the Byakugan always nerfed like this?

Anyways, Sakura by far, the entire fight with Kaguya lacked logic at every single panel.

I was gonna say that they were both nerfed, but then I remembered that Momoshiki never used his Byakugan in an actual fight. He relied totally on the Rinnegan.

I checked back but the only time when Momoshiki activated the Byakugan was:

> Locating the Kyuubi chakra in Naruto
> Looking at Naruto & Boruto before he transformed.

If he had the Byakugan on, he probably would of won actually XD
