@bold: First of all AoE attacks and unpredictably don't go hand in hand. Killer B's movements and the movements of Shino's bugs are literally unrelated so no they don't have any kind of advantage over the Sharingan. Unlike Shino's bugs we have solid speed feats from Sasuke, then there's the fact that any of his Katon can roast his bugs. Then there's the fact that Sasuke will be breaking through his offense and going after Shino to defeat him instead of just running from bugs the entire time.

Your premise for why Katon and Raiton don't work doesn't make sense as they assume adapting to poison means adapting to physical attacks and they assume that the bugs function like Samehada when nothing points to that while everything points towards them simply eating chakra like any organism eats food. Deidara's C4 hasn't shown any speed relative feats, Sasuke simply being capable of seeing the technique in the way his Sharingan allowed him so made it far more capable of evasion. Again, not an impressive feat as we cannot infer how fast the nanobombs were, meaning we can't compare them to Shino's bugs.
Shino's bugs are unpredictable. Predictability comes from the notion of being able to predict something — How can you predict insects who take commands mentally? How can you predict something that of which takes orders from the mind, rather than physical movement? You can't i.e unpredictability. Unless the Sharingan can read thoughts, which clearly it cannot.

No, it doesn't. Sharingan cannot, and will not be able to differentiate the difference between Shino, and his insect clones, especially when the manga has shown the Sharingan being incapable of such due to its explicit inability to discern the human body further than chakra.

I've the impression you're going to attempt to rebuke this claim, and say those aren't Shino's insects, and that he didn't think it was an explosive bomb, so I'll rectify further — The poison smoke bomb exploded on contact with the insect shield, which is further insinuated by the "BOO-F" sound effect — Clearly Shino thought it to be a bomb hence his quote: "... This is a poison smoke bomb...!!" and before him saying this an exclamation mark insinuating surprise appeared. So yes, Shino clearly though Kankuro's projectile had been an explosive bomb.

2. They absorb chakra — Similar to Samehada. Both symbiotic entities absorb chakra on contact, as well are capable of absorbing projected chakra regardless of nature. Samehada eats chakra, does that mean Samehada doesn't absorb chakra as well? Clearly that doesn't make sense, which baffles me further as to why you brought up such a weird notion:

Clearly if chakra is eaten, it's absorbed — Further meaning that chakra of any type can be absorbed i.e. Samehada absorbing/eating katon chakra despite its obvious distaste. Shino's bugs would act in the same manner, absorbing/eating the chakra.

This Arcane jutsu is transmitted within the insect-handling Aburame clan, and involves introducing insects into their bodies the moment they are born! The caster allows those countless bugs to parasite them and continually feed on their chakra, in exchange for what they are expected to handle any and all combat situations that going on a mission entails. Further, they can and will act either individually or as a group, as any non-combat activity they engage in - such as scouting or information-gathering - demands.

DB states Shino has myriads — tens of thousands at his disposal, further going in hand with the manga, because the manga further states the insects are reproducing at an insanely rapid rate, as they have short life spans of only several hours.
@bold: First of all AoE attacks and unpredictably don't go hand in hand. Killer B's movements and the movements of Shino's bugs are literally unrelated so no they don't have any kind of advantage over the Sharingan. Unlike Shino's bugs we have solid speed feats from Sasuke, then there's the fact that any of his Katon can roast his bugs. Then there's the fact that Sasuke will be breaking through his offense and going after Shino to defeat him instead of just running from bugs the entire time.
Actually, they do when we're referencing Shino. His insects can take orders mentally, and vocally. If done so mentally, the ability to perceive/predict through physical means is canceled.
Example:
Someone with physic powers wants to harm you — You have the Sharingan. The man mentally wills an assault upon you, though you cannot perceive such because no "tells/signs" of physicality were shown/given. This makes the man's method of assault unpredictable.
Of course there still is the notion of reflex which can help one react to unpredictability, but my main point here is about unpredictability, which is what Shino clearly has to his advantage here. Speed isn't as much as a factor here as you'd believe, especially when Sasuke won't be capable of seeing through this.

The effects would be the same as Deidara's nanobombs, except Sasuke would be blind, and unable to locate Shino based on the fact Shino would obscure himself inside of the populated area.

Sasuke's Sharingan is rendered ineffective — Coupled with the fact that Sasuke is unable to differentiate the original, and the fakes, an insect clone, or clones would be erected, and sent to engage Sasuke who would dispatch them. The clone(s) would harbor the Kidaichū, and would cannibalize Sasuke.
Sasuke evades or goes through Shino's bugs and then takes him in one fowl swoop. Once this match becomes CQC Shino won't be reacting to Sasuke's speed well enough to defend or evade or counter attack, nor can Shino stop this match from becoming CQC.
No such thing would happen however, because of the Sharingan being rendered ineffective visionary wise. If Sasuke rushed inside of the huge cloud of chakra, an insect clone would be enough to feign defeat, and swiftly implant the insects on Sasuke ending the battle.
No need. Sasuke's Sharingan is useless here, as Genjutsu is broken effortlessly, and his visionary prowess is nullified due to the Sharingan being blinded by Shino emulating the same feat as Deidara through the myriads of insects at his disposal (because his insects are filled with chakra):

A blind Sasuke vs tens of thousands of insects, and insect clones that can disperse upon contact, planting the insects on their targets, and allowing them to be devoured is too much here.
This match up does not concern the illustrious Hoshigaki Sama but doesn't the sharingan track and predict muscle movements? I'm not the biggest on magical eyes, but I swore that's what happened at the first VotE fight between Sasuke and Naruto. But with the chakra shroud being unpredictable due to its nature.
How can the Sharingan use its visionary prowess when it's blinded/can't connect visually with its target? As well, Shino isn't a CQC fighter, except for the initial feints, along with the fact his insects are controlled through mental means. How would Sasuke's ability to track/predict muscle movement be of any use here against an mid-long range fighter?
Shino would merely need to emulate Deidara's feat of creating a shrouded barrier, which is clearly possible due to the sheer numbers of insects at his disposal, coupled with the fact the Sharingan cannot discern through chakra, Sasuke would be blinded when using the Sharingan, and without the Sharingan would be react to both the unpredictability of Shino, and his insects methods of assault, well as discerning clone from real.
This is further reinforced (the fact the Sharingan can't see through chakra, meaning as well can't discern through Shino's bug's chakra) when Kakashi (whose Sharingan was active), asked Hinata who like Neji possesses the Byakugan to analysis Obito's chakra signature, which Kakashi couldn't, because he couldn't see through Shino's bug's chakra.
