how the hell would kakashi ever unlock a borrowed MS?

You're thinking about now. I'm talking about back before tobi reveal, kakashi said he figured out a new trick thus kamui which made alot if us believe if one was skilled enough they didn't need to kill. But now it's essentially just freebee upgrade that was unlocked to him cause obito saw rin die.

Edit: even worst, kakashi didnt even get 2t to 3t on his own. Now that i think about it, idk where this mastered sharingan kakashi still exist lol cause kishi shat on that with the obito reveal.

he did what sasuke did. Sasuke unlocked 1t prematurely and forgot, so he had to reawaken it against haku same could be said for kakashi and his MS.

Lol i understand it but it was disappointing like most of the war arc. I wonder sometimes if I'm the only one who think alot of the plot resolves especially in the war arc was better off unexplained.

I wanted kakashi to take his handout then master it to be as strong as it is and justify his genius and skill that even itachi praised him for but instead thx to war arc that obito carried him through it most of the way. Smh

i honestly don't understand why you think obito is the one that unlocked it, tbh.

He isn't the one that killed rin and the whole "seeing into the other's eyes bit" goes both ways as seen at the end of the war. If anything kakashi is the one that fulfilled the requirements by killing rin not obito. Whether obito being there played a role is up to interpretation but hey, kakashi still had to figure it out on his own.

Borrowed?

Man those are Itachi's eyes at the end of the day. He wasn't born with those eyes.

Sasuke used them to their fullest potential, I give him props for that.

They were Itachi's eyes, but again, not his Dojutsu. He never had EMS.

If we're looking at in terms of how experienced they're in tapping into the full potential of their respective eyes, Kakashi is better even though Nagato's usage of the Rinnegan is better due to the inherent superiority of the Rinnegan. Nagato never mastered Madara's Rinnegan whereas Kakashi mastered Obito's Sharingan.

I'm assuming that this is what you're asking based on the title.

What you're basically saying is that it's better to finish 1st grade math than to get half way through calculus.

Kakashi only had to learn to use 3 abilities, only 1 of which took any skill beyond natural ability, whereas the Rinnegan has 7 unique paths, each with individual abilities, and allows the potential to learn any jutsu in the world.

Ofc, Nagato. His level of mastery and control (not comparing the power levels) of the rinnegan was the highest in the manga. Even an uchiha like Obito with Hashirama's cells was only able to control only one rinnegan and Kakashi struggled his entire life to control Obito's 3T sharingan and later the MS. Sure Kakashi improved over time but his control doesn't even come close to Nagato's level.

hard to choose ...

- Kakashi , only reason because hes body was weak for Sharingan and still able to max its potential. On the other hand Nagato is Uzumaki , therefore it wasnt so hard for him to reach his potential because he had huge chakra/life force

All that is said is that the Rinnegan's power is even greater and can corrode, possess , and reduce the vitality of the user. Handling the Rinnegan is more difficult, I can agree, but there's really no difference noted in the skill level required to wield the Dojutsu. Kakashi mastered his borrowed power whereas Nagato could not, therefore, Kakashi was better. Rinnegan is inherently stronger, but comes at a price which is the aforementioned repercussions imparted on the user.

Listing out everything is superficial. Nagato was predisposed to wield the Rinnegan, Kakashi wasn't with the Sharingan. Kakashi overcame this inherent disadvantage and mastered the Sharingan while Nagato couldn't. Frankly, since the manga and databook emphasizes Kakashi's proficiency with the Dojutsu, we're led to believe that Kakashi's feat is more impressive than Nagato's who was only remarked for his predisposition to handling the Rinnegan.
