Who was better with their borrowed doujutsu? Kakashi or Nagato?

Both received their doujutsu at a young age but who out of the two made better use of their eyes?

Kakashi. He literally mastered Obito's Sharingan (confirmed by Obito and in the Databook) as opposed to Nagato who failed to grasp its full potential.

Nagato was better. Kamui was stronger and easier.

But Nagato is pretty accomplished for someone who knew nothing about the Rinnegan he possessed... let alone casting high level jutsu whenever he or his friends are in danger and this prior to training

By feats, Pain mastered his Rinnegan with more skill than both Sasuke and Madara, even if he didn't even reach a fraction of their sheer power. Sure, Kakashi reached the full potential of his eye, but the Rinnegan's own full potential goes much, much deeper than the Sharingan's, so Nagato still wins.

If we're looking at in terms of how experienced they're in tapping into the full potential of their respective eyes, Kakashi is better even though Nagato's usage of the Rinnegan is better due to the inherent superiority of the Rinnegan. Nagato never mastered Madara's Rinnegan whereas Kakashi mastered Obito's Sharingan.

I'm assuming that this is what you're asking based on the title.

I'd have to say Nagato. There's more to learn and master with the Rinnegan then there is with the Sharingan. I mean Nagato literally had to master the 6 paths and the varied Jutsu associated with each path where as my boy Kakashi had what copywheel, precog, and Kamui.

Nagato. The only Rinnegan jutsu of Madara's he didn't have access to was Limbo. And if he did, he would've wrecked Naruto, Jiraiya and anyone who challenged him. Why Nagato didn't have Limbo, I chock up to either Madara being the original owner or Kishi retconning in a new ability to make Madara even more OP.

Kakashi
He's the one that killed the close one to activate the mangekyou and he used it better than obito, the original user

Where would Sasuke fit into this matchup? Wouldn't he be on par with Kakashi?

One nearly died against a low tier jonin, the other spammed village busting jutsu his entire life. Take a wild guess.

Hard to choose. But nagato edges by a margin because nagato used feats that nobody ever used before and people try hard as they can to give his feats to other people. Kakashi utilized kamui well but I wouldn't say that he used the borrowed eyes better than the original like Nagato did.

Because kakashi used susanoo they automatically assumed that he mastered it, but that's not the case because he wouldn't be able to do it if Obito was not possessing his ocular chakra. He wasn't able to do some feats on his own or combined both ms powers into one.

Sasuke.

He put Itachi's eyes to work.

Fail. Borrowed Dojutsu. Itachi never had the EMS.

By the way, Itachi was practically blind when he did. Sasuke's body made Itachi's eyes regain their light & evolve.

Borrowed?

Man those are Itachi's eyes at the end of the day. He wasn't born with those eyes.

Sasuke used them to their fullest potential, I give him props for that.

Nagato he used that borrowed power his whole life and made it his main power and relied on nothing but Rinnegan.
