I rather see what stereotype others think of Saudi Arabia. I'll tell if it's true or false.

Yup, we did ;)

Anyway, according to my friend, Saint Petersburg is more beautiful than Moscow, SPB is more quiet than Moscow, SPB people are more gentle and responsible than Muscovites, SPB people are more openminded than Muscovites, SPB people are more environmentally friendly than Muscovites, SPB people like to practice sports and stay in shape whereas Muscovites tend to be lazy and fat. European Russians mostly see SPB as the most beautiful city in Russia, whereas Siberians tend to prefer Moscow but, according to my friend, they don't count because visiting Ekaterinburg is enough for leaving them astonished.
I suspect she's quite biased.

She does sound biased. Moscow is bigger, so of course it's noisier and has worse ecology. And SPB is closer to Europe so it's more influenced by it. People who move here from smaller cities often say it's noisy, so it all depends on perspective. If I remember correctly, you were interested in Russian culture. Have you heard of the wrter Dostoyevsky?

I'm from Russia
The biggest stereotype is that Russians drink vodka like water. It's very true, however, I like to drink beer myself. Another one is that Russians are corrupt. This is so true, a lot of state highway patrol cops are corrupt, that's how they make a living. What's funny everybody in the country knows about it, everybody makes jokes, but nobody tries to fight the corruption.

Not only culture, I like pretty much everything positive Russia has to offer. I like its architecture, both classical and Soviet-era. Obviously Russian Orthodox churches come to mind, I'm not Orthodox myself but I'd gladly visit them. Anyway, in that case I'd find SPB pretty chaotic too since I live in a town, but it's okay though. As they say, you love big cities as long as you're young.
I wouldn't want to live in Russia though, I don't like it when it's too cold and dark. For example, I go out wearing a light sweater now, I doubt you can do it in Moscow or SPB xd

And anyway yes, I know Dostojevskij. Never read his works though.

We eat a lot of fish.

We eat more fish than you U_U

Yup, I knew both of those stereotypes. Other stereotypes of Russians are that they are super heavy and strong, they age quite badly so that a 40 years old man looks like he's 55-60. that they drive recklessly (even though this may be limited to those who live in Moscow), that they're very passionate about their traditions. Also I wonder why Russians write this ")))))))" instead of using emojis xd

Anyway, which zone of Russia are you from? Nice sig btw.

Well since the weather in SPB can be anything, sometimes it's warm enough even in winter to dress quite lightly. But yes, it's dark in winter but we also have those white nights in summer.

And Dostoyevsky is known for describing SPB as dark and depressing, we even have a term "Dostoyevsky's SPB" from that.

Heavy and strong - some are but generally we're average. Aging badly is false (it's individual). Reckless driving is kind of true but I've heard it's worse in some other countries. Moscow is notorious for its traffic jams. I also wonder why many people here use that )))))) thing, it irritates me a lot.

Not everyone here is racist, but there are a lot of racism going on, especially with the police shootings. Most people who speak out against BLM and try to debate reasonably always resort to racist slander, thus, proving their points.

And there's a lot of hypocrites here too.

Thanks,
I'm from Samara

I think Russian don't age well because they consume so much alcohol and it affects their health. And I guess they have to be strong and heavy to survive harsh winters. I agree with you about driving, after driving a lot in US I cannot imagine going back on the road in Russia. I think they use ")))))" instead of emoji coz it's more common and popular symbol, I know I still use it a lot
