[Discussion] What's your thoughts on dragon ball gt

I personally don't know why gt got the hate that it did, I think it was an okay finale to the original series it wasn't perfect but to me it was satisfactory.

And me personally I prefer the super saiyan 4 design over the blue.

What's your thoughts on the gt spin off? I think most people like the new super series over the gt I haven't watched yet so I can't judge, but if you do like the super series over gt what is it doing right and what did the gt series doing wrong.

It was garbage, a lame attempt to try and bring some of the adventure of the original db. But the main failing of gt imo besides destroying some good character designs where the utterly uninteresting fights. Don't get me wrong, dbz isn't a masterpiece in choreography by any means but gt was god awful. And the fights are pretty much what make db in general

SSJ4 was the only good thing for me from the entire series
Don't know why they decided to go for kid goku...pan was pretty annoying
Vegeta's design was pretty bad..as for other characters
But, I'm not gonna lie, at the end when Goku flew in to the sky it got me pretty emotional

It has some good idea's but for the most part they were very poorly done.

SSJ 4 design was easily one of the better things to come from GT and the Idea of dragonballs turning against them after them constantly using them was pretty decent.

SSJ4 design is dope.

But GT's plot and character development was TERRIBLE. Even with the good animation, it couldn'r even reach 70 chapters of how low it's rating was.

Yeah, it was trash. The only relevant character was Goku.

I liked the overall adventure-feeling in the beginning. So many different worlds, characters and stories. Uub's spotlight in the Baby-arc and the idea behind the shadow dragons were awesome as well. Also, the opening was beautiful.

It wasn't THAT bad. I'll admit, when you compare it to Z and Dragonball, it's pretty lame. But on it's own? It was decent. Yes, there were alot of places where the plot didn't make sense, but Dragonball isn't known for it's plot now is it? I honestly feel that everyone's blowing it out of proportion just because they didn't approve of the direction that it went in.

Some good ideas but very poorly executed.
Fights were not as explosive or entertaining as DBZ/DB.
Super Saiyan 4 had an amazing design and concept.
Shadow Dragons Saga was a really good idea but done very badly (only 3 of them a threat and Goku does everything?)
Uub was not used well.
As a matter of fact, nobody was used well besides Goku.
Really liked the Baby plot; Saiyans destroyed the Tuffle race and so he was the "avenger" much like Goku avenged the Saiyans against Frieza.
Super 17 arc was not that great.
Music was not as good as DBZ/DB.
Uub should have gone with Goku and Pan on the search. He should have also been useful against villains.
