I've noticed a lot of you are confused about the recent kishi interview

I won't say any names but anywho

0. Boruto Anime = Filler story + Manga. All sources specifically say Anime will BEGIN with original story. Not will BE an original story. For obvious pace reasons.

1. Boruto not being as dark as Naruto is in reference to the tone Shippuden left off and where Boruto will begin. For obvious inverse and outverse reasons.

1b. The flash forward and the literal statement that it will turn dark is blatant evidence that it's not all rainbow chakras and unicorn tailed beasts. Also that the anime + manga are in same relation as Naruto manga and anime.

2. Let go of the assumed Boruto is trash trend. you can dislike the gaiden, one shot & movie but all of those aren't the official story of Boruto written by ikemoto. & I might be wrong but the movie written with the intention of it being a stand alone story of Naruto/Sasuke guiding the future gen/his son. Don't get me started on the bashing of characters who've yet to be explored and fleshed out.

Gaiden = Naruto meets Maury

One Shot = Appenix filler

Day Naruto Became Homage = A joke

Official Story written by Ikemoto = Nothing. So far, he's just traced over the story written by Kishi and the people at SP, from Boruto the movie.

We will continue hating, because it deserves it.

I honestly don't understand the hate for Boruto. If people were solely b*ching about the Gaiden, that I would understand. I have plenty of thinks I dislike about the Gaiden - one of them being that it was completely forgettable. But other than that? What could people honestly be b*ching about, this is blind hatred for absolutely no reason. This is about as retarded as gaming console fanboys going at it with each other.

Yes, so far the Boruto manga has been recap of the movie. Yes, I agree it's pretty redundant and ultimately is just filler. HOWEVER, it's recap. Any hatred towards the recap of the movie by extension is hatred towards the movie itself. So if you can stand your ground and make valid points as to why the Boruto movie is as cancerous as people are claiming the manga is, then alright. But otherwise get off your high-horses. Again, I do wish they didn't leave us hanging for 9ish months on recap, but there are some positives to this and I also understand why they began with recap. The most glaringly obvious pro to the recap is it gave the artist (forget his name) PLENTY of time to hone in on the designs of the characters we've known for a decade now. I'm not saying it's perfect, but compare the art style from chapter 1 to the most recent chapter and it's far superior now - especially Sasuke who no longer looks like a pirate.

EDIT: lol ok so retarded isnt censored, but b_i_t_c_h is?

How does that work? The Boruto movie was it's own thing. Unique, with it's own story. The Boruto manga has added nothing new. Ikemoto spent 9 months (10 including February), retelling a story that had already been told, but with crappier art.

Seriously, how much energy does it take to watch someone else's media content, pause it, and then redraw what they did, with the intent to publish it for sale? The Boruto movie is the highest grossing Naruto movie. That means just about everybody who was a fan of Naruto saw it. The Boruto manga has repacked something that everyone has already seen, or has the ability to see. Reminder that the Boruto manga started to be published AFTER the movie became available on DVD and Blu-ray. So if the target audience has already seen the content in the manga, then what have the last 9 months of chapters been for?

We all know why this was done.

If Boruto had picked up after the movie with something different, and was it's own thing, it would be different. As it is now, it's obivous TPTB have either run out of ideas or just don't care and plan to rehash and cash in on Naruto's popularity. Squeezing every last drop out of the franchise they can.

True, the manga recap has not added anything new to the movie. However that also means it has not tampered with the amazing character arcs in the Boruto movie. I love the Boruto movie, I think it's one of the most underrated stories we've seen from Naruto in a very long time. In regards to the manga, the hatred that I've seen can be grouped into one of two categories: A. People who hate on the manga because it's just recap of a movie we got nearly 2 years ago, and B. People who hate on the manga because they are bored with the current story arc/think its shit. My comment was largely aimed at the later group, as if you think the recap is boring/shit then you by extension must think the movie is boring/shit as narratively they are presented virtually the exact same way. I have yet to find any hatred for the Boruto movie itself, so those particular people are full of shit.

Now, as for the people who claim the manga is shit simply because of the recap, I understand the frustration of having to wait 9-10 months for actual new content, but going so far to actually hate the manga is a bit much in my opinion. Again, I do wish they simply continued the manga after the events of the movie, but I understand why they didn't. It would be ridiculous to expect potential new audiences to watch a movie before picking up the manga as you alienate and potentially lose a significant audience base. Recap is necessary in this regard, especially when the story of the movie is so crucial to the character arcs and relationships between Boruto, Naruto and Sasuke. Now what will be completely unnecessary in every regard is if they adapt the recap into the upcoming Boruto anime... which they likely will for the same reasons I mentioned, also its a good way to add in "filler" without the content technically being filler. Dragon Ball Super did the exact same thing with the two movies.

That's not true. Boruto The Movie came out on August 7th, 2015. It's February 4th, 2017. Studio Pierrot and Shonen Jump have had 17 months to produce new content for Boruto, and they spent most of it rehashing the highest grossing movie, with a manga adapation. The Boruto franchise might as well have been on hiatus for the entirty of 2016. Do you think that's by accident or by design? Could it be TPTB only had one story to tell, and are making the most out of it?

We'll know soon enough with the presumed final recap chapter and how the direction of the anime goes. I'd laugh my ass off if the Boruto manga goes on hiatus after this first arc and the anime's first episodes are another recap of the Boruto movie by SP.

well , see Boruto is for the new gen , not just for the old fans of Naruto , just as we grown watching Naruto , the new gen would grow watching Boruto , there is new story with a new protagonist called Boruto Uzumaki , the story of Naruto Uzumaki have came to an end , and When one story ends, another begins .

I think they are recapping the Movie because it is the first part of the story , and I think they want to make the manga full with every thing in it . so that it would not disturb the new fans

so even the ones who know nothing about Naruto and didn't watch the Movie ,could start watching Boruto .
