The Chidori is still probably stronger due to being a proper jutsu, but this one ranks up there.

Naruto's Rasengan grows with more chakra poured into it though, so it can't be considered close range. Otherwise, the Father-Son Rasengan from Boruto and Naruto would quite easily take the cake.

But yes, Chidori and Rasengan are still equals in that aspect.
