This was an awful attack not only was it about race and political stances but the kid was disabled he was helpless and weak which makes this act even more disgusting i have witnessed this crap happen or heard about it back in my time in highschool i have stood up for disabled peoples i hope the heaviest penalty is given to these cowards not because he is white or a trump supporter but because he is disabled

That makes sense now that I reflect on it. The only reason why I advocated for this incident to be considered a hate crime is because I wanted it to be held in the same regard as hate crimes committed against minority groups, to show that racism and discrimination is not limited to one race. But, being classified as a"hate crime" shouldnt be the reason why people should be upset about it and pay it attention.

the law has no feeling. if its murder it's first degree murder. intent should have no bearing on the sentencing(unless intent was self preservation) we should just judge the act.

They should be up for hate crimes. Remember these are all different states, so it's not really confusing as to how not all of them got charged with hate crimes even though they didn't.
