[Suggestion] No post count in forum games.

I know I'm new and really shouldn't suggest things, but I don't think post count should count in the forum games section. It's full of nothing, but short and low quality posts.

Thoughts?

I think that the section is good for fun and that sort of thing, but I disagree with the fact that it can be so easily abused for a high post count.

I think it would still be an active section even if post count didn't count there.

On another forum I am a member of they have a secondary counter called "Lounge Percent" that shows the percentage of your posts that were in the lounge forum.

Maybe something like that could be implimented.
It could count your posts in that section, but only be viewable in your profile and not count in your main post count.

Bad idea. The whole role playing system revolves around post count, and "spamming" in the forum games is one of the more efficient ways to increase one's post count.

Allow me to explain, or at least try to.

Many of NB's members like to participate in the role playing section. To increase in rank, one must have a certain amount of posts--like Kage rank, which, I believe, requires 8000 posts.

That's a lot of posts, in my opinion. Achieving that many posts can take a long long time, and the last thing people who role play want to do is wait around to increase in rank, get custom jutsus or bios approved, etc. Trust me, I would know. They're anxious to get started.

If NB implemented your suggestion (Which, may I add, is not a bad one as I said before. Sorry about that. I just think it's one that people most likely won't like), achieving said ranks would be more difficult to do, especially for people who don't post very often. So, they most likely won't be all for your suggestion.

I wasn't aware of that when I made this thread, but even after posting my bio and learning about how the ranks work I still feel the same.

I do agree that getting that many posts is something that is very hard to do and I think that is the idea that should be stuck with. Nothing in life is easy and spamming for a rank is asinine.

The ends don't justify the means.

That's the best way to put it.

I agree. To me, it makes no difference if posts in the forum games no longer count toward my post count. I just don't think others will like it if that actually happened.

If you could know how much effort some ppl put in spam, you wouldn't be saying this. Just Imagine making 8k MEANINGFUL posts. It's almost impossible that's why post counts are so high in requirments and I'm pretty sure everyone's ranks would be quite affected if that happened. Don't make this like SPPF in whcih is almost imposible to get a decent post count.

Maybe, but think about this...

If you deleted posts counting in the forum games than the normal forums would be flooded with all the spam that goes into the forum games now.

People would still want to raise their posts fast and still spam to do it. The forum games section at least gives them somewhere to do that where no one really cares. This is much better than cramming the "meaningful threads" with more spam.

Don't you agree?
