Indra: Failed to succeed Hagoromo.
Madara: Failed to complete his plan over 100 years in the making. Lost his life.
Itachi: Failed at trying to control Sasukes destiny. Lost his life.
Izuna: Failed to realize Tobirama had too much swagg and cost his life.
Fugaku: Failed to overthrow Konoah village. Cost him his life.
Obito: Failed to accomplish his Moons Eye plan. Cost him his life.
Sasuke: Failed to revolutionize the world. Cost him his arm and defeat by Naruto.
Shisui: Failed trying to step to the OG SupaSavage Danzo. Cost him his life.
Shin: Failed at trying to honor Itachi. Cost him his life.
Mito: Failed at making sandwiches. That's why Itachi body was so weak.

Disclaimer: I did not make any of this up. All of this is from the hand of Naruto creator, founder, writer, and editor Masashi Kishimoto. Please leave your salt somewhere else.

Why did Kishimoto do the Uchiha clan like this? What message do you think he was trying to send? I believe since Kishimoto is a huge fan of Mike Tyson (look it up, facts) he drew Tysons famous qoute "Everyone has a plan. Until they get punched in the mouth." the best way he could.

Because........plot. It's the same thing that goes on with Fairy Tail. The good guy always wins, no matter if the so called bad guy is right about everything.

Itachi: Failed at trying to control Sasukes destiny. Lost his life.

Itachi never failed -- You could particular call his "fail" (Sasuke's transitioning point of view toward Konoha, and the world), a metamorphosis, or an eye opener for simpler terms. That stage of Sasuke's life had been required, look at Sasuke now -- What resemblence of failure do you see? I'll make it easier for you to answer;

None. Itachi never failed -- The reason for Itachi's "I failed statement" was mere humility i.e. the factor in which makes Itachi the man that he is.

Indra : invented ninjutsu

Madara : First Uchiha to awaken MS, first person to tame Kurama, leader of clan that dominated wars, co-founder of Konoha

Itachi : Influenced Sasuke to reach full potential, saved SA, without him Naruto and Sasuke would remain fodder.

Obito : United the whole world against him, he's the reason peace was able to occur

Shisui : Saved the village by keeping Danzo from becoming a dictator

Mikoto : Provided the love for her sons to awaken strong eyes

But the bad guys aren't right in Naruto. Since human history started being recorded, every tolitarian or tyrant like empire that rules over and doesn't allow anyone freedom has always and is shown by history that it will always fail. Obito, Sasuke, and Madara plan was not good even in the rudimentary sense.

Yeah, they were and they were realist.

Sasuke's plan was way better than Naruto's, who believed friendship and pretty pink ponies and love is the way to true peace. Sasuke knew the truth as to why the world united and he also knew people will never stop seeking the Bijuu power. Was he wrong? He wanted to become that common enemy.

But Kishi decided to go the Fairy Tail/Typical Shounen route.

OP's cup overfloweth with Haterade. I bet with all the effort he spent naming something they didn't accomplish, he can't put the same amount of effort into naming something they did accomplish.

Well if it weren't for Itachi, Naruto would have died by the hands of Nagato, if it weren't for Sasuke, Naruto would've died by the hands of haku, if it weren't for Shisui, edo Itachi's free well wouldn't have been achieved by KA, if it weren't for Obito, Naruto would've been killed by Kaguya, and the list goes on.

Kishi said the manga wouldn't be a thing without Sasuke, both sides can play this game. :bdpf:

There's nothing necessarily shonen about a messiah concept. Try telling Gandhi that he was a friendship-loving weeaboo.

Also...as if Sasuke is any less a shonen stereotype? Naruto and Sasuke, for all their development- are as bad as each other in that regard.

You and Gandhi are friendship-loving weeaboos.

Obito, Sasuke, and Madara plan was not good even in the rudimentary sense.

For the record Madara actually did succeed:

He was revived. Check
He became the Juubi's Jin. Check
Infinite Tsukyuomi? Check
Everyone locked in a dream of their own making? Check

What happened afterward was circumstantial and the consequences of his "success"

Also for every tyrant that has fallen good leaders and their kingdoms/empires have fallen as well. It isn't just "bad guys" who fail, the good guys do too. Nothing last forever.

Ok enough with the realist argument. I see this a lot from people trying to defend Sasuke/Obito/Madara's actions. Being a realist doesn't give you a liscense to be an utter **** and ruin the lives of everyone else because the world isn't fair.

Others have lived in the same world, subjected to the same hardships and traumas but they don't go f**king over the rest of humanity because they were dealt a cruel hand by the "real" world. Being a realist doesn't excuse the death and destruction they caused. And right and wrong is subjective.

Don't be mad at Naruto Hashirama and everyone else because they don't share the Uchiha's "realist" view of the world.

This thread utilizes such a superficial view rather than a holistic analysis over the manga that I'm disinclined to being in agreement here.

Except for Itachi, I agree the uchiha clan was mostly a failure. Its not about what they accomplished but where they ended up even with those accomplishments. Sure they were a very powerful clan but they always overestimated themselves and someone was always there to bring them to face reality. Then entire Naruto history is filled with examples of the uchiha getting their butts kicked in the end.
Just look at the ideas they come up with lol, Indra wanted to be a dictator, Madara tbh wasn't a bad person but the loss of his loved ones changed the way he looked at the world and his way to achieve peace by putting everyone in a genjutsu. The most pathetic Lolbito couldn't handle Rin's death and was taken advantage by Madara and at last Sasuke who got manipulated his whole life by a lot of people finally came up with the idea of ruling by power and fear despite having the knowledge of why his predecessors failed.
Not to mention that they got butthurt so easily. Something which BZ took advantage of throughout the existence of Indra and his descendants and manipulated them to do his bidding.

lol that's some bull. he played that naive fool start to finish, the one only hiccup was obito, who just happens to be the same hiccup who would've ruined minato's plan had not hinata stepped in to keep naruto going post-neji death.
