I don't know whether it's a mental disorder or not, but I will say this: Even if a scientist came to the conclusion that being a transgender was a mental disorder, does anyone actually think he'd say so directly in the present day? No, he or she most likely wouldn't say so directly, or else they'd be labelled "offensive and sexist" or whatever other buzzwords are in vogue these days. They'd probably couch their opinion in a politically correct way as opposed to bluntly stating what they really think.

People used to be killed or labelled blasphemers/heretics for questioning God in the name of science. You really think Scientists will halt progress simply because the truth might hurt?

Um I think they would either they would be persecuted for it or those people would be also I don't put conclusions made in psychiatry as hard science, in those fields the social component effects heavily their conclusions

Well, it is about 4 am in the morning and I am in no mood for drama, so, I'll keep this mighty short. Gender is a social construct, yet social instincts have their roots in genetics. Could it be that it really is some kind of genetical defect as some research suggests? I don't know. Freud's assimilation of material on natural instincts (in the pleasure principle) suggest a more bleak take on life as life according to Frued is just a series of detours to arrive at the ultimate destination; death or return to the inanimate state. Natural instincts only exist to prolong it at the cellular level; natural instincts that is ***.

If life's purpose is to return to the state of nothing and the cell cannot be truly immortal without procreation, then where does an anomaly like this would lie? Your guess is as good as mine. It doesn't seem or appear natural, that's for sure. One can say that homosexuality is natural, yet it goes against the principles of instincts. You can also say that abnormalities are also a part of Nature.

For instance, your DNA is damaged all the time. Your body is equipped to rectify that damage. Yet, cancer is simply a damage at the "wrong place at the wrong time" kind of affair. Is cancer not Natural, then? My point being that *** to procreate is the main aim of your "mortal" body to attain immortality through cells (created through reproduction) in another body.

That's the only thing I would say ... I avoid such discussions, as there is evidence on both sides of the fence.

Someone else can consider their race, or outward appearance different from what they consider their own identity. Its belittling to say changing my *** is ok but augmenting my ***, appearance or what have you isn't.

Conspiracy is a much disliked word for me. Let's just call it the system shutting up information it doesn't approve of. And this is no secret conspiracy, every goverment ever has censored and manipulated what the common folk know. You yorself have mentioned the Church hunting people they deem as heretics (Galilleo for example). True enough, the system doesn't focus on God anymore but do you really believe it's gonna give up it's current principles? Conspirator is right, there is no way they'd halt the LGBT revolution.
