What determines Susanoo's colors?

It's likely influenced by the user's own color of chakra which seems mostly dependent on the user's genetics and perhaps, personality. For instance, Mu deduced that Gaara's Division was comprised of ninja originating from each of the five shinobi villages based on their varying degrees of chakra color. With personality, Sasuke's Susano'o was blue due to his malicious personality and the fact that his chakra was distinguished as "cold" while Itachi's Susano'o was gold (in the manga) because Itachi embodies Naruto's own ideology and conviction in protecting the village and Naruto's chakra was also established to be yellow. Even Kakashi's Susano'o was influenced by Kakashi's own characteristics, including the notable scar that he exhibited on his left eye.

Sasuke's susanoo has a black one if he surrounds it with Amaterasu or had Sage Mode when he made the lightning avatar.

Yeah that be awesome too but I don't think we haven't seen a completely evil character yet that would look cool and make sense for complete black susanoo. I read earlier you want indra with black susanoo but I don't think he's that bad like madara to get it.

Tbh I like all susanoo colors for characters right now. If Kakashi gets his own sharingan I would love if he got a silver susanoo. And if orochimaru got a sharingan I think he would have a white susanoo. I could see sarada having a red one.

No doubt, Madara has more darkness than Indra who was just seeking his father's approval. And yes, it doesn't make sense for some Uchiha be completely evil - thus making their Susanoo all black, considering their big hearts.

Chakra color.

Characters have different color chakra. Naruto's being yellow in the manga, which is why his Rasengan is yellow in the official color pages.

The anime kinda throws this away and makes everyone's chakra blue by default. But there are some places, like the Five Kage Summit, where Ao mentions remembering Shisui's chakra color after seeing his eye in Danzo, which was shown as green. This is why Kishi drew him a green Susano'o.

The color of their chakra. Madara's Susano'o was a baby blue color then went dark blue. Sasuke's Kishi drew his as blue also then changed it to purple. It could be because their chakra gets darker/stronger the Susano'o changes color.
