Yhwach does this ritual selection thing where he kills members of his own race to empower some other members he feels need it or himself. When they die, some silver forms in their heart and they die. Yhwach's race are called quincy. One of the main characters called Uryu is a quincy and his quincy father did an autospy of Uryu's mom to find the silver so he can make an arrow. Uryu's dad is called Ryuuken. Ryuuken and Ichigo's dad Isshin decided to pop in the Soul palace where Yhwach was and literally do nothing except go to Uryu and give him the silver arrow.

Uryu fires the silver arrow at Yhwach and it stops Yhwach's powers so Ichigo can kill him. What makes it even more retarded is the fact that Yhwach's power is to see and change the future yet he couldn't see Uryu shooting the arrow into him.

Ishida literally had a special Arrow that negated his abilities for a brief second allowing Ichigo to do his one trick pony signature move and kill him. The BS to his defeat was due to Yewach conveniently not forseeing ishida using this arrow and rewriting the future. Ywach just somehow didn't foresee Ishida like he saw everything else and "died" because of it?
