I think you do not know what future modification means.

Not only can he see everything that's gonna happen, but he can easily change the results without even trying. He can literally control what happens in the future regardless of what you do. Nothing Madara does would even work on him, Even if he can't kill Madara, the battle will just be Yhwach literally molding the future to make Madara his bi tch forever and ever and ever.
