Hating Sakura is one thing ( I hate her as a character too, she's god damn annoying and whiny) but calling her useless is moronic. I think people just do it to get a rise so maybe it's not that serious. The played out useless joke for ironically one of the most useful characters in the series is confusing to me sometimes.

I don't think people are referring to her plot relevancy with the useless joke. This is usually targeted to her position in power as far as team 7 is concerned, and how she was of no use, even though clearly she was.

And what do you think the plot was? She was a supporting character for the development of the main character. + a love interest for the secondary lead character. She got a few good moments and fights to herself similar to rest of the Konoha 11. Otherwise she is a medic and provides healing thus is used to keep the main characters alive and moving.

Not being exiting enough =/= useless.

Bandwagons are the way of internet. There was this sakura hater group which literally gave points and made a hierarchy within their group on account of how many sakura hating threads and posts they can make. Actively trolling the character and the section out. Drowning any voice against it for a long time. And new ones simply find it easier to fit in by following the trend. Easy to make friends and to get rep. Almost all of know or learn what to do to get in the good books.

People call Sakura useless, because she was in a lot of moments in the Naruto series. I can name five moments off the top of my head right now:

.Useless throughout Part 1

.When Obito asked her to stab the Rinnegan

.Orochimaru vs. 4 Tails Naruto

.Sasuke vs Naruto, Sakura, Sai, and Yamato

.Naruto, Sakura, Sai vs Omoi and Choji's wife.


It comes down to this. Sakura was given the main character status, but she failed in so many moments, especially when she believed that she could catch up to Naruto and Sasuke.

On the other hand, that is not the main reason people hate her. You Sakura faps are always trying to use her feats in order to make up for her crappy personality. Sakura is selfish and made a lot of dumb choices. She treated her friends like garbage, including Naruto and almost got him killed. Sakura is just not likable for many people, because of that.

For instance: When Ino decided to choose their friendship over her crush with Sasuke, Sakura decided to act like a brat and end their friendship, because she couldn't handle another girl pinning after her dream boy. And Ino was a true friend. She protected Sakura from her own bullies.

Another instance: While Naruto was still mourning Jiraiya's death and the village was still recovering from Pein's attack, Sakura did not care about him despite the pain he was going through. Sakura, instead, wanted Naruto to only cheer her up and care for her.

How twisted your way of thinking is!! And then you guys claim it's not hate blinding your reading capabilities.

Tsunade was her teacher and she has been spending all the time with her( and with other villagers) even when Naruto was away for years. So of course she was feeling down too. Instead she was consoling Naruto about Tsunade's condition specifically. Tsunade was for Sakura what Jiraiya was for Naruto. She didn't ask Naruto for sympathy- the dialogue meant to show she was herself sad about it even though she tried to cheer Naruto up. It wasn't only Naruto's loss but hers too and seeing she was her student, she had a right to be sad about it.

There is a whole sasukebase in love with that character but supposedly she being a character in the manga shouldn't be. :| Because aparantly she even has the readers as her rivals in love- they know and understand Sasuke more than her!!!!

People really need to get over hating her.
