Sharingan&Byakugan ability to see through clones

I believe Sharingan and Byakugan users can distinguish between Elemental Clones and the Original but not SHADOW Clones and the User.

Shadow Clones are inherently different from other clones. But Elemental Clones are composed of the element, and I believe that composition allows them to be detected by chakra vision users. Now, if it's an Elemental Shadow clone tech, like the Lightning Shadow Clone tech Kakashi uses, it would still fall under Shadow Clone, meaning Sharingan and Byakugan users couldn't tell the difference.

If I recall correctly, Hashirama used Wood Clones, not Wood Shadow Clones, so they were composed of Wood Release (Water and Earth). Given that, it makes sense that Madara could see water and earth chakra surging through Hashi's clone to tell it wasn't the original.

Only issue with that is that Madara considered himself to be the only individual who could see through Hashirama's clones in general.

May be madara developed the ability to distinguish the clone from the original through experience from years of fighting with the senju brothers - hashirama (wood clones)

Madara must have fought Hashirama many a times to get a understanding to his tactics of using clones, I doubt even he could see through it. After all, at VotE he was fooled by it.

The only way to see through shadow/elemental clones is via battle sense, attention to detail and such.

I don't think madara can literally tell the difference with his sharingan, i think he can tell the difference because he has been fighting him almost his whole life.
In terms of fighting style and ability i doubt there is anyone who knew hashirama better than madara.

This^ a thread like this was made yesterday. I stated the same thing. It's not that maddy or Sasuke can differentiate clones from real. It's that both knew their opponents in every level. They knew how the think, they are intimately familiar with their battles styles and techs. And very familiar with how they use their clones.

If Madara could truly see through clones he wouldn't have gotten back stabbed at the VOTE as he turned off his EMS when he thought he had the real Hashi down for the count and it turned out the one in front of him was a wood clone.
