You're right, the "intangibility" aspect isn't present here (maybe it could be developed). I've focused on the total dimensional movement aspect of kamui (moving completely into and out of dimensions). This is where Sasuke's new ability exceeds kamui; it allows for movements across multiple dimensions.

Edit: Kamui's "intangibility" is the bodily aspect of kamui. It's the equivalent of Enton in comparison to amaterasu. Enton allows for the black flames to emanate from the body - amaterasu from the eyes.

This technique may very will be yomotsu hirasaka. The swirl pattern of Sasuke's portal (vs Kaguya's rectangular pattern) is likely a result of Sasuke's ocular mode of usage. Amaterasu and kamui both share this feature as well.

Where did you get this from? You're conflating Amenotejikara and this ability...they are not the same ability. This ability uses portal as the medium of use. Amenotejikara is instantaneous transport over short-medium distances.

Yes, moving between Kaguya's dimensions uses large amounts of chakra. Moving between spaces in the same dimension should use little chakra.
