Can Temari beat Hidan?

Any CQC fighter with no long range techs.

Maybe Tsunade or Hidan given enough distance.

In any realistic scenario where most manga fights start she isn't beating those two though.

Can Temari beat Hidan?

Possibly yes. Only problem is if its one on one she will never figure out his ability. She is similar to Shikamaru in thinking but Shikamaru had things he could analyze like Hidan using the ritual on Asuma.

I dont think she can end this with one fuuton and dismember him when Hidan fought something like the two tails. We saw from the initial start he was on the defensive and doing a good job which I think he can do against Temari.

I feel this could possibly be how the battle goes down eventually, she uses a fuuton and he would survive it, throw his scythe from the dust the fuuton created, she would be surprised, react and deflect it with her fan but Hidan having enough control with the scythe can redirect and get some blood.

Reason why Hidan can tank Kakuzu's wind release is because it's not a severing/cutting jutsu. Temari's wind scythe techniques cut through things. Hidan hasn't been shown to tank slicing properties, not of her caliber anyhow.

Hidan would be diced, especially if this is starting from long range.

If we compared both fuutons on what they did to surrounding trees we see that Temari's cut through trees while Kakuzu's destroyed them however it did not do the same to Hidan's body. We cant compare human bodies to trees. Trees are stumped into the ground and take the full brunt of Temari's attack resulting in them being sliced apart, a human body will be blown back not fully taking the brunt of the attack, being sliced up but not completely.

Hidan is immortal but his body was not destroyed because he did not take the same force of the attack as the trees. Of course attacks like this would severely damage any normal character but not someone like Hidan.

Plus there is the fact that Hidan is not going to stand in one place waiting for the attack as shown against the two tails he was able to be on the defensive.

You can't compare the two jutsu because they are different in not only execution, but properties. One causes pressurized damage, the other causes slicing damage.

Temari's technique would slice through Hidan. The rest of what you're saying in regards to Hidan not taking damage is because like I already addressed the damage induct is different between the two.

A tree being rooted to the ground =/= a tree not being rooted to the ground. If an attack has enough slicing power to cut through x or y then either way it'll cut through it. Being rooted to something doesn't factor in anything.

No. Strong enough chakra is not a defense or a form of durability. So you have to explain what you are trying to say.

Yes they are different but the output should have been the same according to you. Against Kakuzu's attack Hidan should have been torn to pieces while against Temari's he should be sliced apart because thats what both attacks did to surrounding trees. However Hidan was not torn to pieces like the very thick trees were.

This shows us that the force from the attacks that hit rooted trees will not be the same force that hits a person. Why? Because a body wont be in the same position as the tree, a body will be blown back not fully taking the force of the attack compared to a tree that stays in place.

Think of it this way, Temari's fuuton is a gust of wind that has cutting properties, she blows the opponent in the same direction the cutting winds are going, so both are going the same speed in the air, the cutting properties wont be go faster than the body (slicing through). You replace a tree with a body and the gust of wind cant move the tree but the cutting properties still move foward cutting through the tree.

No named Anbu managed to cut the leg of Pain's dog in half with ease which is far thicker than Tsunade's body so a superior wind style user in Temari does the same.

If Tsunade decides to summon Katsuyu, Temari summons Kamatari and finishes Tsunade off.

Punching the ground to kill Temari or catch her off guard can be countered by using fuuton to blow away the incoming debris. Not to mention Tsunade becomes an easy target as she can't dodge a fuuton while attempting to punch the ground at the same time.

Temari's fuutons arent killing Tsunade since they arent going to be cutting her apart. I think that is a big misconception when it comes to her atacks. The wind couldnt blow the dogs foot back so the cutting pressure was applied full force however Tsunade doesnt have the weight to stand against a fuuton like the foot did so she will be blow back not having the cutting pressure applied fully.
