Madara's EMS has straight pattern ; So are Sasuke's EMS .... And straight pattern gives good moves to it's user .
And that's what made Madara and Sasuke have good moves .

Maybe Madara didn't originally have a straight tomoe, but became one due to some dominance factor in his brother's eyes when he implanted it into his socket?
