We are able to create sand from the minerals within the earth to use as a source or simply manipulate pre existing sand such as sand carried within an object or sand already present within the terrain. This means that you can create sand on every land that has earth or at least earth properties.Sand is that shit on the beach that gets in between your toes and shit. I am honestly not sure how you "get" sand. I just know few users from the manga were able to control "sand" with Gaara being the only one to control legitimate raw sand as far as I know. The other known users only manipulated metal variations such as iron and gold "dust". I never knew how Gaara got his KKG. I only knew his sand in his gourd was imbued with his mother's will or something and it protected him automatically at great speeds as seen against Gaara vs Rock Lee during I believe it was the chuunin exams and even though Rock Lee eventually found loopholes in the defense and got past it a few times, the fact that the sand defended against most of Rock Lee's attacks, who is one of if not the fastest character in the series, is amazing. But I do not know what develops this KKG in canon terms.
As far as its weakness I am going to go with water since when doused by water, sand just gets mushy and it does not flow like it should. It becomes almost like a mud-like substance. I am not going to consider lightning an actual counter to sand itself. It is strong to earth and fire being that it is tolerant against fire and sand can simply compete with earth as far as materialization. In this RP, Sand is made up of wind and earth and mastery over the two is required to be able to use it.
Sand is extremely versatile in my opinion and I cannot tag yet how I will use it. As shown by Gaara it can be tactical, brutally strong, it is all around good. He can use that sand eye to see/sense things as he cheated on the chuunin exam with that technique and also used it in the war arc that very same technique. He has created giant sand burials the size of giant pyramids and has almost contained tailed beasts with his sand prowess. He has also shots sand pellets into Madara and almost took control of him through his control of his sand throughout Madara's body. That's some dope shit yo. So I cannot yet gauge how I will use it even though I will most likely end up using it as pressure pressure pressure, but it doesn't have to be that way. Sand is one of the best elements in my opinion as far as canon goes. There are hardly any limits to it.

Third: This is like an existing earth jutsu where a pillar of sand is sprung and can lift your opponent up from the ground. I'm assuming you can disperse it easily and make them fall from a decent height or things such as that.
Fourth: Ditto of the third with more pillars.
First: I'm assuming even though it says Gaara, it can be used by other users as well so I will explain it. Basically a clone like any other that is made of sand. You can make up to two and they are basically intercepting traps. It states the weaknesses in the description. So no point in stating that. But yeah, they are cool because I assume they move rather quick and if an incoming attack, especially taijutsu, it will move the sand on contact and the sand with actually form around the object or body part, trapping it and perhaps leaving it open for attack. If you're completely in that form, then you won't be able to turn your body into normal and throw a kick or punch. However, you can turn certain body parts into sand if for example your opponent aims to kick you against the arm, or leg. Then, you will be able to attack simultaneously because you basically only protect said body part, and the rest of your body remains in it's normal form thus being able to counter attack with the body parts you haven't turned into sand.

Description: A self sustaining, self aware, autonomous defense, its the technique which made Gaara renown for having what was later called "Perfect Defense". Basically, any Sand nearby will encircle the user and move to intercept any attack that is used against him. The sand is fast enough to intercept otherwise "instant" techniques such as Amaterasu or very fast Taijutsu attacks (up to trice the users base speed) and can stop A-Rank blunt force impacts such as those delivered by Taijutsu or solid elements. The sand can even create an otherwise perfect sphere of sand around the user in a split second. Even if the user is unaware of an attack, the sand will protect him. The disadvantage is that the shield will drain chakra from the user each time it defends him, which happens without his input. However, the user can still defend from techniques and "will" the shield to not act if he is in the process of producing a counter to the impending attack.
