I just read this whole f*cking thing, so I want to weigh in on one major point here.

While entertaining to read (especially all the bits and counters around Jiraiya's hell swamp and the strategies surrounding it), there was just one sticking point which Beans never covered that completely derails his argument.

KG's opening attack suggested for Itachi was just blasting Jiraiya with Ama. This was never, ever, even remotely or adequately covered. All this wall of text just ended up sounding redudant and pointless because, well, Itachi just ends it right at the start.

The whole time I was hoping to hear a solid counter to it from Beans and Jiraiya. Oh well.

I feel like I just wasted all of my time, because the whole debate could be summed up in this hilarious sentence;

"Itachi sets Jiraiya on fire with Amaterasu".

is he wrong thou? Jiraiya's sagemode (including ninjutsu) is inferior to naruto's in both sensory and durability, there's no reason why he would be able to counter the flames or susanoo to which both of can be used simultaneously. so unless this match has lots of hiding places like against pain, I see no reason jiraiya would be able to escape then flank.

Jiraiya's sagemode (including ninjutsu) is inferior to naruto's in both sensory and durability, there's no reason why he would be able to counter the flames or susanoo to which both of can be used simultaneously. so unless this match has lots of hiding places like against pain, I see no reason jiraiya would be able to escape then flank.

I think his issue is that it wasn't properly countered, not that it was wrong. :lol

-There was my dust cloud counter
-There was the counter of Jiraiya sensing the ama buildup then retreating into the forest before activation
-I noted how puffs of smoke could potentially push back ama before it spawns

Whether or not these counters were effective was up to the judge to decide, but please dont say it was never ever even remotely or adequately covered because it was.
