Sasuke is likely to beat Kakashi before Gai defeats Naruto. Sasuke is superior in almost every area of combat that'd actually matter here, and if they ever clashed with Chidori and Raikiri CM2 Sasuke would win with ease.
If Naruto puts more effort into surviving than he does into trying to beat Gai then he'd last much longer than Kakashi. Kurama can hand him chakra to use Multi Shadow Clone jutsu, Gai's only AoE attack is Hirudora, and used improperly he'd get caught in the blast. Gai would rape Naruto in close combat, but as long as Naruto sticks to the clone game Gai won't be able to get to him w/ close quarters, so he'd have to rely on cleaning up clones with Hirudora, and Hirudora can be matched by FRS or countered by Chou FRS. Tbh I can even argue that Naruto stands a chance of beating Gai instead of just stalling. Only way Gai would dominate the match is if he entered CQC w/ Naruto before Naruto could make clones.
Sasuke and Bunta can also replicate Toad Oil Flame Bomb, which has a massive AoE if they need something that covers a lot of area.
Then after Sasuke dominates Kakashi he and Naruto rip Gai a new one w/ Kirin which can be prepped w/ 3 of those dragon jutsu. It won't be as strong as it was in canon but that doesn't matter.
If Gai tries to take out Sasuke first Naruto would stop him in case that's what anyone is thinking.
So yeah, Team 7 members beat The Masters.
