he actually has a great move set for someone like obito he can track and sense with sand so if he has sand storm brewing he can easily know when obito phases and becomes tangible
obito is always senseable if he doesn't go to kamui dimension completely. Intangibility doesn't effect sensing at all. gaara needs fast attack along with fast reactions to beat tobi. He has fast reactions i'd admit but no fast attack like ftg or kamui itself. gaara can't stop tobi from warping him. Minato also sensed tobi behind him and even attacked him but intangibility made that useless and had minato not have ftg, he would lose easily. Gaara has nothing on that level.

Well for one kid obito (again kid not adult) is not above any of the characters above that u mentioned
Gaara also has an auto defense that even if he can't react to it (as shown when he saved Mei and didn't c his susannos attacking him) will still try to defend him
As a child gaara's sand moved right behind 5 gates while trying to protect gaara while it could out right protect him it was literally behind lee trying to get to him
Gaara instantly switched himself out of his armor without anyone noticing that was including byakugan users and kakashi and GAi..
He has blocked Enron and reacted to ay lariat and while it was not his full speed before ay and sauce could collide with each other (with a hair of space between them) gaara was able to have his sand travel fast enough to protect the both of them
Within the war gaara was able to catch 3rd raikage briefly
Against Madagascar the susanno swords thing I mentioned above but also reacting to flower tree world which builds instant Forrest he reacted fast enough to not only save himself but the other kage as well
In the combination with minato his sand despite everyone claiming it is slow was able to have kakashi travel on it to help get rid of truth seeking orbs if it wasn't that plan would've failed on gaara's part.
Gaara has incredible reaction speeds by himself in addition to his auto defense (and even after that the layer of sand armor he wears which he could easily reattach himself if obito tried to warp him thus having sand in his demension to attack obito if he's in there because agin he can sense physical movement)
Dude obito as a child was cocky and emotional there is no way in hell he would have faster reactions then adult gaara or war arc gaara
i never said he was stronger than them. I said he had reactions on par with minato thus by generalization Ay, tobirama all fall under the same category.
@bold, this is the only relevant feat as everything else is slow compared to obito by a mile. And even this is debatable as he was on the sidelines and from sidelines minato, gaara and heck even lee was able to match 8th gate gai.
I never understood this concept of obito's reactions increasing as an adult.. Since intangibility is an automatic ability thus it activates automatically whenever anything overlaps with obito's body unless he is warping something. So are you telling me his MS which by info from manga should get weaker got stronger?
In any case kid obito was able to handle minato until ftg lvl 2. And he had an attack that requires ftg lvl of avoidance to be countered. Gaara has automatic defense but can it save him from being warped? if obito touches him it's all over that is what i was saying. And about chunin exam, lee touched gaara a million times.
Now about being in kamui dimension, i dunno what will happen there. For simplicity, obito can simply leave him there to rot.
This isn't even a fight. Young MS Obito pressured Minato, fighting against Gaara isn't even a challenge. Obito teleports behind Gaara, phases through him then touches him and warps him, automatic sand isn't going to stop him since Minato could barely react and use Hiraishin in time to evade Obito's Kamui warp. Clone feints aren't helping Gaara, his clone feints aren't on Naruto's or Kakashi's level, and they weren't able to hit Obito with just clone feints. Granted that was Adult Obito, but they didn't manage anything and they are much much better than Gaara.

Reading this back.. i think Obito himself touched Torune to warp him, and that's why his arm was infected.
