I've started drinking coffee whe I was 14
I'm now 16 and I cant stop drinking every morning :overjoy:
is there a way to stop this? I notice that I am not sleeping properly :(
my friends also notice that I sometimes go crazy without reason :crazy:

and as the time passes you will forget about coffe
thats what i do in this kind of situations

Eh...This may sound weird...

But if you're trying to give up coffee and can't give it up cold turkey, then why don't you try and ween yourself off? Try skipping it every other day.

But, if you find you still need the caffeine, try substituting it for warm tea (black or green) and see how that works.

Drink coffee and alternate every other cup with tea or some other liquid until you end up drinking, say, one cup of coffee and then two glasses of tea, and simply repeat until off the coffee. o_o And then, don't go getting addicted to Tea, though that's probably a better thing to be addicted to than coffee.

Sorry, just a thought.

errr me too coffee addicted eh! But Now Im dringking greentea, pareho lng ang tama, But good for your health.

instead of coffee use energy drink like red bull etc.
you will soon start forgetting coffee.:D

coffee addiction is not a tragedy, and just one cup in the morning can't be the reason of insomnia, but is important how you make it, how strong and what other stuff you put in, sugar, milk, etc.
the active substance is caffeine, and you can also find it in coca-cola and similar beverages, so if you drink coca-cola too the effect is craziness without reason... and sleeping disorder...
to stop try to make the coffee lighter day by day until will became not tasty :p, but don't drink it decoffee because is not healthy, and don't add too many chocolate, tea, coca-cola and stuff in your daily menu.

don't poison our mate with this shit, red bull is yuck and not healthy, and the combination with alcohol can be deadly :mad:

I stopped drinking Soda drinks since some years ago.
I don't remember what Coca Cola, Pepsi etc tastes like. :p

For me i just resisted by telling myself it's not good for me and there's nothing to gain from it. After that i used my achievements to stay away; Like 'I've gone 2 weeks without it, i don't want to start again now.'

So here i am 5 years later. :lawliet:

Just have strong self-control and if this is what you really want, you can do it. ^^

I don't drink coffee frequently, because well, I don't really like the taste.
However, since I'm on the verge of my preliminary examinations, it's a must to work overtime.
Needless to say, by drinking three cups of coffee at around 12, I can induce an insomnia that allows me to study more.
I know there are better ways to keep yourself awake, but the intake of caffeine is the easiest way.
Though I wouldn't advice to do it ALL the time. I drank like four cups once, I tried to sleep at 10, dozed out at 4 am, woke up at 5 am and was hyperactive till 6 o'clock in the afternoon of the next day.
So yeah, =/

If you try to substitute coffee for something else, you'll slowly get addicted to that, or atleast it'll get normal drinking/eating that certain substance, so you just get another addiction. You might say "Nah, I won't get addicted to it because... <- random reason for yourself", but you don't notice you're addicted at the start, it gets normal, because you use it to get off the coffee. =\ Even if that addiction is "more healthy", you're still addicted.
