The worst thing about Super is that they made Goku so much of an idiot that it rubs me the wrong way.For instance when facing Frieza,Goku states "You have dug your own grave.I am going to finish you" while in Super Goku is like "Tee hee I survived.That all you got?Lemme show you super Saiyan Blue".Wiith guys like Beerus and Whis what's the point in getting stronger?

However it's still better than GT imo

No I totally agree. I like GT a lot better. The Super Sayain 4 transformation was the best part. Not only that but nearly every character design felt fresh instead of a rehash of the old one like we see in DB Super right now. Baby Vegeta, Golden Ape form, Super 17, and Omega Shenron were all badass characters.

Those villains felt bad ass because there was no one on like Beerus or Whis on goku's team.Now with such OP team mates villains seem like a very bad joke as that feeling of good vs evil like in the original series is no longer there.Everything seems to be a game

The only arc I have been following is this Black one. So far I am not impressed. It looks like they are trying too hard. The animation and fighting composition is utter shit. The forced love of Trunks and Mai is also very disturbing. As for those goofy parts I see myself skipping them because they are utter childish. Not impressed with the new Rose transformation either. I don't feel excited about this villian Goku Black.

Yeah I agree. I never understood this part either. So far Whis and Beerus have done nothing for this series. I mean did you watch that Golden Freeza vs SSB Goku fight? Why were they there chilling on the sidelines while Goku and Freeza were going at it? It made no sense for such powerful characters to be around all that much. If you wanna keep them than make them appear some times not all the times in the series.

That's the thing that pisses me off, I though Bills and Whis were suppose to be villains, so like youbsaid so what's the point it if you don't have neither of them being a threat to anyone

I find the decision as appalling as the next guy, but that was the natural progression of his character. We all know that from the start, Gohan wasn't a fan of fighting, and all he wanted was to be a scholar. It's true that he lost a lot of his importance in the series, but don't blame on Super something we had coming since Z.

I don't know if it's been said(and I know I'm late) and I would quote Shaz in here too but I haven't figured out multiples yet, but I'm pretty sure toriyama had fully intended for goku to stay dead after cell and for gohan to take over as the main z fighter pretty much but because of fan backlash he brought goku back. I remember reading it a loooooong time ago iirc lol
Ot: I'm one of the few that's thoroughly enjoying super, but so far dbz will always be better. On a side note, the remastered version of z is looking really good

Naw super is potentially better than DBZ, I exclude the movie turned into series arcs but focus mainly on what was super original and that's the universe 6 and 7 tournament and it rivals the buu saga in intensity and the black saga is great too, but the only thing DBZ has on super is like it's overall story building up to the fights like the freiza arc was the best build up of nostalgia ever and super has its advantages as well like expansion of the story into answering our questions that start from DBZ or unlike DBZ we get less goofing in between arcs which is a big deal since we all don't want to see filler

I agree, mystic was bad as f ck it was nice to see gohan like that, I've never really liked the retcon that he can use ssj again though :/ I also don't like how vegeta(my fav from db) was regulated back down to punching bag status again in super recently lol

Those are both of my problems. Plus Piccollo who was another badass character is nothing more than a farmer.

If you look at the new DBZ game thats coming out Xenoverse 2. There are these races that include the namekians. I would have liked Piccolo to have his own diverse powers instead of the focus being on all the sayains. The contuation of DBZ has further destroyed characters we grew up to love in the first place. When the series is about one species it becomes boring very quickly.
