Actually you're right now that I think about it, Sarada love Boruto cause she was always blushing whenever Boruto talk nice about her. Sarada even went far to cover up for him and always praises him as a genius I thought it was boruto cause he was blushing but it only happen once when Sarada stood up really close to his face.

Nope she's not fodder when she has CES at such young age unlike anyone in previous generation. Also she has lightning shiruken and genjutsu.

She was born lucky with a mother who had nothing to do in life besides wanking Sasuke. Lets not forget how every female character has been treated in this manga. Excepting Sarada to be different is expecting fanfiction.

No lets not forget that Kishimoto is not the one to be scripting which is a good sign. I heard Kodachi got great reputation in some of the hiden novels , he be probably make sarada better female characters which is a promising. Not only sarada but Himawari!!!!
Thats pretty normal for 12 year olds girls hit puberty around that age so they get taller then males many times
Actually I just checked and between 8 and 13 girls are taller on average apparently, Boruto will still slip it in

Dunno if you noticed, but the one shot Kishimoto drew with Team Konohamaru, he made it pretty clear that Boruto was the tallest one in the team.

He isn't taller at all, he's just in the front. Angle tricks to make it look like he is taller because he needs to get the spotlight.
Trust me, I know about photography and the tricks photographers do to make you look like you're taller.
