Only difference is looks. If Susano'o Chidori didn't do the job, a regular Black Chidori (which VotE1 Sasuke also used) wouldn't make a difference. We don't even know if the black lightning makes a difference; can't really speculate.

He lost the seal which contained Rikudou's Chakra that he manually extracted from to enhance his Chidori. The only Rikudou's Chakra he has now is his Rinnegan, but that Chakra only enhances his ocular powers.

Sounds like you're biased. I wonder if you noticed that Naruto infused his Rasengan with Kurama's chakra, making it stronger than Sasuke's regular Chidori.
