Exerting chakra out of his body will soften (if not stop) all of Sasuke's punches, rotation is a problem, and Neji's striking speed should be far faster than Sasuke's with 8 Trigrams: 64 Palms.

Edit: Oh, wait. No Chakra manipulation? So I'm assuming Neji can't use rotation and exert chakra out of his body? If so, then I still don't see how Neji loses. His striking speed with 64 Palms should still be way faster than Sasuke's striking speed. And manga stated that Rock Lee needed the speed of 5G and an untouchable high-speed combo just to beat Chuunin Exam Neji, never mind SRA. Neji should have no problem dealing with Sasuke's speed.

Sure, Neji's striking speed is faster than Sasuke's when he's using 64 palms, but Sasuke literally dominates him in every other area. Neji wouldn't beat KN0 Naruto in CQC w/o having access to his Ninjutsu as shown during the Chunnin Exams so there's no way he's gonna defeat Sasuke who low diffed KN0. Manga stated that Rock Lee would need the speed of the 5th Gate and an untouchable combo to defeat a Neji who wasn't restricted of all his Ninjutsu and chakra based abilities bar Byakugan, that comparison doesn't work here.

All he'd need to do is parry and counter Neji's regular strikes and then completely evade 64 palms, which is completely possible considering how he was dodging Naruto's charges (which isn't just striking speed) in KN0 and KN1 and the fight is pretty much his. Not seeing how Neji stands a chance here.

Your restrictions imply that gentle fist chakra can't be inserted into the opponent but I'm pretty sure that's not what you meant. Anyway I don't see Neji being put down by Sasuke's punches/kicks whereas Neji's attacks are more lethal. Though Sasuke can hit Neji more easily than vice versa. Neji's superior striking speed means that if Sasuke tries punching, it leaves Sasuke open to get hit by a quick jab. On the other hand, Sasuke won't be fast enough to punch Neji if Neji's the one to begin striking first.

What Ninjutsu are you referring to? I'm fairly positive all of Neji's techniques (Full Body Blow, Rotation, etc) are classified as Taijutsu. Preliminary CE Neji didn't have access to any of those techniques though. All he had was the Byukugan and basic Jūken, which I'm assuming is what you're restricting Neji down to here. So it was stated that in order for Rock Lee to best preliminary CE Neji, he had to use an untouchable high speed combo (Ura Renge) in 5G. Key words are a high speed combo, not just his raw speed and taijutsu. SRA Neji is far more advanced than his preliminary CE self, and his CE version that you keep mentioning who clashed with Naruto. In other words, Sasuke with just taijutsu and shunshin has to do far better than 5G Lee's Ura Renge in order to defeat Neji, who has better physical stats in SRA form. Highly doubtful.

You can't just simply counter and parry Jūken, when it's chakra penetrates right through the human body. And how is Sasuke going to evade 64 Palms? He has to confront Neji in CQC eventually. Once he attempts to engage with Neji, he'll be in range of Neji's 8 trigrams and it's all over for him.

Okay. In your previous response you said, "Neji wouldn't beat KN0 Naruto in CQC w/o having access to his Ninjutsu". So I'm assuming that was just a typo then. That's why I was confused.

If this is just ordinary taijutsu, then yeah, it's a complete different story. Neji doesn't ordinarily rely on strength behind his strikes anyways, it's all his Jūken chakra. So if they're trading blows, Sasuke will end up winning.

@ Bold, displaying Sasuke avoiding Naruto's punch isn't an impressive enough feat to say he can do the same to Neji's 64 palms. Even if Sasuke evades in that matter, he still needs to out strike Neji who is going to be repeatedly striking at him. As Neji progresses his strikes, they become faster and faster. I still don't see how Sasuke is coming out of this scenario as the winner.

I'm trying to translate both scenarios into speed and physical reactions. Naruto was never too fast for Neji to handle. 5G Lee's Ura Renga was supposed to be so fast that Neji wouldn't be able to touch him. There is a difference there. My point was in order to beat SRA Neji, it would require more than what Naruto and Lee had going for them, because obviously SRA Neji is faster with better reactions then his weaker versions.

I honestly find it difficult to see how Sasuke wins here. Neji was portrayed as a taijutsu master for the whole of part 1 and it is a fact that the secret to defeating CE prelims Neji was the high speed combo (fast strike attacks?) granted by ura renge.

As far as i know, 3T isn't increasing one's striking speed and it doesn't read defensive movements. Neji's/Hyuga's taijutsu style is all about defensive attacks. (

The only occasions i can recollect a hyuga going on the offensive are Hinata going on the offensive against Neji (which makes sense as both can't stay on the defensive) and Neji going on the offensive when he was confused as to how Naruto reopened his tenketsu.

The Hyuga also then specialize in circular defensive movements that enhance their body speed to evade, deflect and parry attacks. Neji in particular hasn't outright blocked any attack i'm aware of.

When i consider these + the fact that SRA Neji >>>>> CE prelims/final Neji, i then fail to see how Sasuke would even be able to tag Neji at all.
